“Best holiday ever”

The hotel is wonderful, it is obvious that it is not new, but on the contrary it adds charm, because here you have a wonderful garden, flowers, birds and a perfect beach. There is a lot of white in the interior - ivory marble floor, white walls, light furniture. A wonderful garden with many plants, trees, and flowers. The room has everything you need, the air conditioner works well (3 modes and different temperatures), there is a refrigerator, and there is a bidet in the toilet. There is always cold and hot water, always fresh towels. The best thing about the hotel is the people who work there. Sincere, kind, with a sense of dignity, they respect your space, do not interfere and are always ready to help if you need it. The beach at the hotel is perfect, always clean, the color of the water seems unreal, it is so beautiful. The sand is white, perfectly clean. There are always enough sunbeds and canopies, there is enough space for everyone. There are two (!) bars on the beach, where there are always drinks and a snack at lunch. The food in the main restaurant is varied, there are always a lot of vegetables and fruits, there are always several different types of meat. Milk, yogurts, soups - everything to your taste, a lot. We always had fresh flowers on our table, the waiters were incredibly polite. There is always enough everywhere. We only had an omelet once or twice a week, but we don't eat it every day at home either, so it wasn't a problem for us at all. The cuisine is rich, for every taste, there is always a choice of fresh local fruits. We had dinner once in a Japanese restaurant, it was very nice and tasty. Also Air Canada arranged a farewell dinner for us on the last night, it was incredibly nice and very tasty, on the terrace near the pools. We swam, dived, met the dawn, made a couple of excursions. You can see all excursions right at the hotel, of your choice. There are no russians in the hotel, which is very good, because you know how that people behave badly towards the staff. I think this is a very good advantage of the hotel. I saw once the Russian flag among other flags at the entrance to the Iberostar hotel (on the island of Cayo Santa Maria), I don't know if they accept russian tourists, I know that no one likes to have such neighbors. The local beer is fantastically delicious, I highly recommend the Good Cuban rum, it's smooth and rich in taste, you'll love it. The magnetic lock on the front door didn't work - we didn't care, because we live in Canada and never lock the door, they don't steal in Canada and Cuba, we were at home. There were no chips and salted nuts to go with the beer, next time we'll bring plenty of that. You must have small bills for tipping. We took American dollars, they are more universal. I also advise you to buy small gifts - soap, toothpaste, deodorants, antipyretic medicines. You can also bring the things you need, there is a shortage in Cuba and all this will be very agreeable to the locals, they will be grateful to you. You can also leave your cosmetics when you go home - a small thing for you, but a help to the locals. Take napkins or toilet paper with you, this is a bit lacking in Cuba, in some places there is none. You will have incredible service if you are generous as Canadians, remember tips are very important to these people and their salaries are meager ($30-$50 per month total).
