First of all the good: -Kenia and Ana (mini club staff) were amazing to our son. He wanted to spend time with them more than he wanted to swim with us! Even though we stayed close by, we felt safe having our sun enjoy that experience. The kids mini disco is a don’t miss cute experience! - Esther from club premium check-in was the only front desk member who actually helped us with our concerns, and she was new. If it wasn’t for her who knows who would have helped us (because several people wouldn’t even though I speak Spanish and was genuinely being kind) - all drink and food staff were kind to our family and made us feel welcome, especially Danieris - The grounds are beautiful, the staff is kind to children, and they rake the seaweed off the beach in the morning which makes it really worth spending time on - 10/10. Recommend club premium for the private breakfast and lunch space alone to avoid the crowds Now the unfortunate: - this was our 5th stay at this resort. That being said we obviously knew that there were some things that would be sub par at best, but we are easy going so we deal with it. But this was our first time with our children and so it was harder to deal with the poor service. - starting with check-in, there was a giant line because we checked in on a Friday and on the Friday they were at full capacity. Out of the resorts control there was a significant storm and the streets were flooded, and there was water coming into the hotel. Since you can’t really control nature, it’s not the hotels fault, but most of the elevators were not working and we had a baby stroller. - in our first room we received, the air-conditioning didn’t work the toilet didn’t work, and the sofa was broken. We asked for a crib and a bed for a two children and neither of them were in the room. We went back to the desk and asked for a new room and the supplies we needed and we were given the runaround, so now we have two children who were extremely tired. The elevators aren’t working and nobody’s helping us (until Esther!) we managed to get a second room, but the air-conditioning also didn’t work in that room, and it was very far from everything with children and elevator that didn’t work. It also didn’t have a balcony that you could sit on which we had paid for. Then we were told we can move to a room that actually matched the standards of what we booked online (the club premium suite: don’t be fooled… the pictures don’t represent every single room they have at the resort.) but we wouldn’t be able to get the third room until the next day so we had to spend our first night in the room with the broken air-conditioning. Also in that room there was a leak in two spots, and if you sat on the toilet water consistently dropped on your head. - when we finally got our working room on the second day, there was no bed or crib for our children. We requested them at 3 PM for the second time after we had initially requested them the day before. At 6 PM we went back to club premium and said there was still no crib or bed and we would hope that they would be there after dinner at least. At 8:45 PM with both of our children sleeping I went back and said I still did not have beds for my kids. I kept being told they would report it to somebody. I got a phone number I could call that person said somebody was coming. I ran into a maintenance man in the hallway. He spoke to someone on a walkie-talkie. He said somebody was coming. I went back to club premium at 9:30. Told her again my two sleeping children had nowhere to sleep. She said she would report it, I ended up finding someone with a bed on my own by wandering through the resort and had a bed for my children at 10 . - In the middle of my trip there was one day when housekeeping didn’t come. I went to club premium at 5 and asked for Service so we could have towels. She said she would report it. 10 o’clock at night. My children are sleeping. My husband and I are also going to bed and there’s a pounding knock on our door. They came to clean our room and give us towels at that time- too late! - our toilets (we had two bathrooms) both only flushed intermittently. The water was luke warm at best in the shower (on the weekends when they were at full capacity) Overall, even though I wanted to go home on the first two days because of all of the issues with our room and feeling like I wasn’t being heard, we made up for it and we had a good vacation. I think to really enjoy your time here you have to be pretty low-key chill and probably not like to go to bed early.

I would give them 3 stars. some workers are nice, and some are rude. food is ok for breakfast and lunch. the night restaurants are 5 stars. the night shows are great for adults and kids . pools are big with music playing on one side then the family pool is quit and relax... more
