“Nice hotel with good restaurant and parking very close to the port of Bastia”

Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children (5 and 10) we stayed there one night because we were taking the ferry to Livorno next morning, room ok, restaurant very nice as well, menu was not huge, but good food and wine, kids loved the pasta. Free parking across the street.

An externally unimpressive building on a very unimpressive road about 3km from the town centre did not bode well. But everything changed once we were through the door. A warm reception awaited us from the desk by the partly-enclosed garden which proved to be a good place for a nightcap. The air-conditioned room was comfortable, the shower worked, the breakfast was more than adequate - and available from an early hour so that we could enjoy it without rushing before taking a taxi - organised by the hotel - to the port for the morning ferry.

“Very Friendly Staff”

We were in Bastia for a few nights and stayed here and then a planned visit to Hotel Ostella. The boat from Livorno arrived late and because there is nowhere obvious to eat nearby, the staff were very helpful and served us a meat and cheese platter, even though the restaurant was closed. We were in Bastia for a few nights and stayed here and then a planned visit to Hotel Ostella. The boat from Livorno arrived late and because there is nowhere obvious to eat nearby, the staff were very helpful and served us a meat and cheese platter, even though the restaurant was closed. The room was small, but perfectly adequate and clean. There is a lovely roof garden to sit in, and although the beach was about a mile away, it was well-worth a visit on a hot day. I thought the cost of the room was very reasonable and commend the staff for their helpfulness and friendliness

Sûd Hotel is a good choice for a few nights in Bastia. Rooms are small but clean and each has its own bathroom. Sûd Hotel is a good choice for a few nights in Bastia. Rooms are small but clean and each has its own bathroom. The rooms at the front are a but noisier than usual because of the very busy road in front of it, but with the windows closed and the airco on, it is ok. Communication with Sûd Hotel is very good, they are very pro-active. They have their own in-house restaurant which is a true gem. Breakfast is in buffer form and good.
