I will give you a honest review, this was my third visit to this hotel over the past seven years and it has only got better. After a long delay we eventually arrived just before midnight to be greeted by a warm smile and concerned Meena. The first thing she did was to go and find an ice cold bottle of water which was gratefully appreciated. Our room was spacious and extremely clean with a sea view and nice size balcony to sit and watch the sun rise. Beds are firm but that suits us, pillows are firm and bed linen crisp and white. Rooms are cleaned daily and linen was changed mid week. Breakfast is a self service buffet and there’s a large selection of hot and cold dishes. Sammy in the bar is friendly and makes a mean toasted sandwich and generous Greek salad. Prices are reasonable and it’s convenient if you want to spend the day by the pool. Sun beds are always available. Yes the hotel is situated on a hill and I would imagine not best for those with mobility issues, lots of stairs around the hotel also. Staff have never been more than polite and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a great week Maria, Meena, Sammy and the team

“Clean hotel with a nice view but bad showers”

The hotel was nice and clean. The only negative thing about the hotel was the bathroom. The rooms don’t have a shower so you will have to shower in the bathtub. Everything gets wet in the process. But overall it’s a nice hotel with a good view on the sea

“Lovely but tired in places”

This was our first holiday aboard as a couple both noikt quite knowing what to.expect but I was pleasantly suprised. It is exactly as the pictures show in previous reviews except there has been an update in the furniture. We were shown to our room on arrival, but non of the electrics worked so we received an upgrade (for no extra cost). which gave us a dipping pool on the balcony, something we had looked at prior to booking but decided against due to the extra £300.00. The rooms are clean they all have a fridge but no kettle, we knew this before going so purchased a collapsible kettle which worked wonders and 2 collapsible cups which were great. If your coming from the UK you will need a conversion plug. Breakfast was included and is a mixed bag, cereal, fruits, salad, coleslaw, fried tomato balls, Spanish omelette cut into portions, hot dog sausage, bacon, eggs oh and cake!! We normally took cake away to have at 11ish was really lovely too. The hotel is OK but could be fantastic there are just one one two place it needs tidying up, like a light missing from above one of the doors and just bare wire showing, cracks and holes in the marble that's used around the staircases. A pre-inspectionof each room to ensure everything works as it should. Overall though it was an enjoyable stay on our first holiday abroad together.

We stayed at the Epavlis Hotel in October 2023 - the last stop island hopping around Greece. Positives first - Kamari is a beautiful resort. Even at the end of season, there were still some wonderful restaurants (recommend Dana's Family Taverna), the beach is gorgeous and I think it is the perfect place to stay when visiting Santorini. The breakfast was great. Big selection of hot and cold food, coffee was nice and Greek yoghurt was very yummy. Hotel is less than a 5 min walk from the beach. Some people were complaining about the walk as it is on a steep hill, however I thought that this was a perfect location - just might be a problem if you have mobility issues. There is a trail behind the hotel, up a large hill to Ancient Thira. Really recommend doing this hike if you have time during your holiday. Views from hotel pool are stunning. Pool area very nice to relax. Negatives - I had stayed at this hotel 9 years ago with my family and I don't think it had had a lick of paint since. There was also some spots of mould on our bathroom ceiling. We had paid for a double room but were given a very large family room on arrival. Although this room was more expensive than what we paid, it was rather dark, below the indoor pool and eerily big for the two of us. Would have preferred to have the double room we had paid for in the main hotel complex. We did enquire about this but were told the room was more expensive so "it will be fine". The lady on reception (owner?) is quite rude. Don't know if this is because it was near the end of the season but she wasn't very helpful. Also this hotel is not a spa hotel. There is a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a couple of treatment rooms inside however they were "out of bounds " (as some of the guests were told during our stay). All the facilities were turned off and not usable. Would have been a shame if you had booked it thinking it was a spa hotel and then you found out you couldn't use any of the facilities. On a whole, still really enjoyed our stay. Kamari is a great location for your holiday in Santorini (great bus connections to Oia and Thira), however the hotel could definitely do with some renovations and a warmer reception.
