“Amazing ”

The hotel was amazing we can’t fault it at all. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The location is perfect in a quiet area but just a short walk from the bars and shops. Perfect stay from start to finish.

When we arrived at hotel we received a really friendly welcome by receptionist. She got the 7 of us booked in quickly and efficiently and we all were given a choice of a much needed refreshment. She kindly took us too our rooms to get settled in. We had ground floor rooms that opened up to the decking and sun loungers with table and chairs kids loved the pool right in front off us, the rooms were lovely bright and airy the service we had from house keeping was week was terrific clean towels and room cleaned everyday also large bottle of water left too so a big thank you to them. The restaurant was excellent great choice at every meal being all inclusive was great for the grandkids staff were very attentive and also very polite and helpful so thank you for that. The water park was just a wander down from our rooms great fun had by all. The snack bars had a great choice of snacks and drinks. We booked two nights for meals down beside the water park, the American theme and barbecue both nights we all enjoyed. The main bar where our rooms were was really handy for getting snacks and refreshments the cocktails especially the Pina colada were delicious the adults enjoyed them and the kids loved the Florida’s alcohol free😁staff were always very cheery and helpful so a big thank you to them We had a great time at Aqua bay and will be back thank you for making so many happy memories for us.

I have to start by saying that I am not entirely convinced that the people rating Aqua Bay 1 star have stayed in the same hotel as we have; as I struggle to see how both can be the same place! As previous reviewers have mentioned, I also spend a long time reading all reviews and after spending weeks researching the different hotels available, chose Aqua Bay - and boy am I glad that I did. The team at Aqua Bay are incredible! Special mention to Penny and Dimitri who seemed to be there at every point in the day! We had a fabulous welcome from them, and while taking our luggage to our room a clear tour of the hotel (that I also saw many times while there). The housekeeping team are amazing! Visiting every single day, providing fresh towels, remaking the bed, sweeping and mopping the floor throughout and providing a 1.5ltr bottle of water each day. The restaurant and bar team - awesome!! There was never a table left dirty, they bring bottled chilled water to your table whilst also getting whatever drink you would like from the bar alongside your meal (not just the standard option of a choice of wine). The kitchen area was open and spotlessly clean! The bar team were always friendly and happy to get whatever drink you would like - yes the all inclusive drinks were not your brand name spirits - but where is? Speaking of the drinks… The all inclusive drinks were available across not only the hotel, but the water park (that had a cocktail bar during the day and the entertainment bar at night), and in the sister hotel facilities. Yes the Walnut Tree bar relied on bottled pop rather than post mix, but I don’t consider access to a minimum of 8 bars for your all inclusive access to be too bad at all. The food was by far the best all inclusive food I have had. Every day there was a fresh salad bar, with a selection of pre-made salads, but then a make your own salad section complete with dressings and cheeses. The fish and meat selection was delicious. As someone who is fussy with seafood, I had the fish daily alongside a selection of vegetables, alongside some of the best cooked pork, beef and chicken. The food was rarely held long enough to go dry, but there was always more freshly cooked food on it’s way. We personally didn’t encounter any other rude guests, but even if we had I’m not sure how that would be the fault of either Tui or the hotel? We didn’t use the water park so cannot comment there, but I imagine for families this is a god send. The access is right by the hotel, and despite the proximity there was never any noise heard from the water park, the most we heard was in the evening from the entertainment taking place here, and that was very minimal. The snacks at the snack bar are basic, hot dogs, fries, pizza, sandwiches and salads. We ate the salads and sandwiches mainly, but for grab and go options they were great. The room itself was a perfect size for us. Each room has it’s own private balcony or semi private terrace /patio area outside. Those on the lower floors had their own sun loungers and also patio chair and table each; but aside from this I have never seen a hotel with quite so many sun loungers available for use. It is hard to believe anyone would struggle in locating one or that someone would need to remove your towel to use one. Additionally every patio was swept and cleaned before breakfast to ensure they were all ready for guests. If anyone is thinking of booking Aqua Bay then please go ahead! Yes the hotel isn’t located in the heart of town, but we found this preferable. Everywhere is within walking distance, and it was €16 in a taxi to Zakynthos Town. The staff are amazing and the hotel was incredible!

We had 2 great weeks here. The hotel looks stunning and the rooms and balcony were beautiful. The food was varied and nice at every meal time and all of the staff could not do enough to help you. The drinks were also of a good standard and were very strong if you asked for them to be! The water park included is really good and includes slides for younger and smaller children. The a la Carte restaurant you can book for free once per stay was 10/10. We will be back.
