If you need load your battery and relax it is a place for you. Quiet, heavenly, surrounded by nature big enough garden, sweeming pool (large and very clean, sun beds high quality) and beautiful panoramic view. Rooms are very well equipment, confortable and cozy :) You my need a car it's top of hills. Internet works very good, the owner and stuff are lovely. There is also nice grill for use. I will come back for sure. I highly recomended! If you stay in Sciacca chose the La Luna Nel Pozzo because is the best place in this area. There is few beaches around but you can't miss beautiful "Bovo Marina" (Montallegro) about 40 km by car from appartment it's special.

“Beautifull accomodation!”

Great accomodation with a beautifull view of the hills and sea by Sciacca. Clean appartment, good facilities (swimmingpool, bbq, washing machine). A beautifull place to enjoy the west coast of Sicily!

Our recent visit to Lalunanelpozzo was just fantastic. Even though it was cut short of the days booked because of issues booking via Laterooms (Book direct if you can. I will be for next year), the owner Pippino accommodated us perfectly and just couldn't have been more helpful. The place and standard of accommodation is really high. It's really clean, quiet and a short drive to supermarkets and restaurants. We used it as a base to explore the local area. Selinunte is an easy drive from here amongst other attractions. I can't recommend it highly enough and it's a jewel compared to other, even more expensive, accommodation in the area. Looking forward to returning next year!

Sorry if I repeat myself (typed on mobile) Visited at end of March (Easter weekend) for 10 nights. Me, wife, and two boys age 4 and 6. We are from UK and flew into Palermo. Arrived late (midnight). The owner Pippo was a very nice man who was always with a smile and on hand to help. He collected us from the gates and showed us to our apartment. He is always around if you have any questions. He lives with his family at a house at the bottom of the grounds (by the entrance gates), with the apartments up a hill away from his house. My boys loved his friendly dogs (our favourite was Pongo). We couldn't have hoped for a more pleasant stay to be honest. The apartment we stayed in was very spacious and very clean and modern but still traditional, with a huge patio, ideal for drinking some wine and watching the sun set, or eating your breakfast / lunch outside in the sunshine. The views from the apartments are beautiful with lots of green and the sea. There is a large communal patio with impressive timber structure offering shade to the area, with 2 or 3 large brick barbecues. You are encouraged to bring your own coal and use it if you wish. There is no rubbish collection service, so you just take it with you when you go out for the day (there are large bins just outside the complex). Someone complained about this on trip advisor, but we really didn't see it as a problem as our holiday was super cheap! Our TV didn't seem to work until the afternoon each day - which was a bit of an issue as my two boys would like to have been able to watch some TV in the mornings to keep then from getting bored so quickly. The advertising of free WiFi is misleading as you will not be able to get WiFi. When we queried this with Pippo he basically admitted the WiFi is in fact just his own house connection (about 300meters away from the apartments) - so you would have to be very close to his house to access it! The mobile data signal is not great so it was a little difficult to research things to do online. Would definitely recommend downloading all trip advisor content for offline access. You will not need to take towels as they supply fresh white towels of various sizes. They gave us a 2nd load of fresh towels too. You just need to pack some towels for the beach. You will definitely need a hire car for Sicily, and at La Luna the apartments are up a steep hill so best accessed by car. Also there are beautiful nearby towns which are well worth visiting. We even drove to Palermo for the day (about 1hr 20min drive) We loved Siacca as it is very traditional with hardly any tourists. The prices are soo cheap! Nearby La Luna there are two excellent shops Conads (smaller), and ARD (Italy's version of Lidl I call it) where you can get 2 hot rotisserie cooked chickens for 5 euros, and bottles of wine for as little as 2 euros! Restaurant prices are very cheap - 750ml bottle of peroni 3euro. We got a whole bottle of wine in a restaurant 4 euro! The location of La Luna is brilliant - you can drive to many local towns such as Salinute, Sovaretto, etc. All the locals are very friendly and always with a smile. Nobody hassles you, or tries to pull you into their shop etc - you can have a look around in peace. It really is a chilled, friendly place to be. The hot water can run out as it relies on solar power to heat the water (as with most places in Sciacca) - so try to stagger shower times rather than all going one after the other and you'll be fine. The secure key card needed to enter and exit the La Luna also is needed to give you electricity at your apartment You dock it as you enter the apartment just like in UK hotels . This was only a problem when I wanted to pop to the shop in the car and leave the Mrs at the apartment - I would take the card leaving her without electricity / lighting for a while. The apartment had what appeared to be brand new digital air conditioning - although we didn't need it during our stay. I would warn people this Sciacca is not suitable for pushchairs / prams as there are not many suitable footpaths (tend to be very narrow, steep, or uneven) and lots of up and down hills walking involved. I would definitely say a hire car is essential as we don't remember seeing any public transport services during our stay. La Luna should not be criticised for the fact you need a car in Sciacca however. Its just over an hour from Palermo airport to LA Luna. You have to be a confident driver in Sicily as the drivers and scooter riders just do what they please. I definitely would not hire a prestige car as there's a good chance you will get wing mirror damage no matter how careful you are. The main highways / motorways are fantastic, however, with lovely scenery, and hardly any traffic and 100km + speed limits, and fairly good road signage. We used google mobike sat nav which worked great. The food variety in Sciacca we found to be a bit limited (too many pizzerias!) But if you like pizza and seafood you will be in heaven - if you are looking for Italian pasta it will mainly be fish pasta dishes. We found on several occasions there were very lovely restaurants with lovely set tables only to find that the only thing they sell is blimmin pizza! There is one example of a fairly decent looking one just outside La Luna as you turn right out of the gates. Just pizza! - but a nice restaurant to visit even for a few drinks if you want to stay close to La Luna (alcohol is always cheap in the bars). For the most part all other restaurants are in the town which means taking the car and not drinking. Parking seemed to be free everywhere we went, and no issues finding parking generally. We aren't so much into seafood so a couple of times we cooked at our La Luna apartment which was well stocked with tons of clean plates and cooking equipment and drinking glasses, etc (probably enough for 8 or 10 people). There was also the Italian espresso coffee maker which i used daily. Well done on this! The best shop for stocking up on cereal and snacks is ARD, but Conads is like a tesco express and a little closer so we went there most if the time. Each of these stores have fresh meat and cheese counters if you want to try some fresh Italian hams, sausage, etc. Conads will prepare and cook you a family size rectangular pizza for 7 euros while you wait. Warning don't ask for pepperoni pizza as it means peppers and you will just get a pizza covered in loads of peppers lol they only have salami or prosciutto which is the closest thing they do to pepperoni :) The washing machine in the laundry room was broken which is a pitty, as its been complained about previously on trip advisor. We just washed some clothes by hand. We found shops, attractions, and restaurant opening times very confusing as a lot of the day time everything is shut, or they open for a couple of hours in the morning then shut again at a secret time! Maybe its just because we went in low season? Restaurants don't generally open until 7pm by which point we are starving lol La Luna has 24 hour access via keycard which operates the secure automated car entry gates. As stated above, taking the key card with you leaves the apartment with no electricity or light. Overall we loved our stay and recommend it to couples or families ( I would say groups 5 max should be fine) A great memorable stay, and lots to see and do all around Sicily, and La Luna deserves all the business they can get due to friendly Pippo, ideal location, and overall excellent value for money!
