Guests at Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas All Inclusive - Adults Only say: What can I say about our vacation at the Riu Palace las Americas, other than it was a near perfect experience. Hence the title that I really feel Riu are listening to their guests and making sure you have an amazing experience. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who go above and beyond to make it special for you. The hotel is only 30 mins from Cancun Airport and located in the popular hotel zone. It is immaculate and maintained that way. The staff work relentlessly, and you will find it hard to find anything not up to spec. We were checked in quickly and shown to our room, which was huge and perfectly presented. It was on the first floor. However overnight we had a continuous droning noise that kept us awake; so, first thing in the morning, I requested a room change and without any fuss, we were relocated to a much better room in the centre of the hotel on the 2nd floor. We had no issues in this room, and it was perfect for the remainder of our holiday. The food at this hotel is simply amazing. Firstly, you have a huge choice of several A la Carte restaurants as well as the buffet. From freshly made delicious omelettes to lobster at the Black and White restaurant, to Lamb at the Italian restaurant. All perfectly cooked and delightful. The only one we felt a little let down was the Mexican; which maybe could have been a little better for an A la Carte (but that may just be down to our taste); as service everything was perfect. Also, worth mentioning and very popular is the coffee bar, Capuchino. Making perfect beverages day and night and always topped up with enticing pastries. RIU also have what they call RIU Party, where they ship you off to a neighbouring RIU (RIU Caribe) along with all guests from all the other RIU’s. You then have a pool party which was so much fun. Entertainment was good day and night. The entertainment team are brilliant and have so much energy. Throughout the day there were all sorts of fun activities and in the evening is the main entertainment. One night we had Casino night which was great as we did not lose any REAL money. A very special mention to the Piano player in the bar area. He was simply amazing. On point with all the popular or well-known tunes. Plenty to do around the hotel as well. Very clean and safe throughout and La Isla shopping complex about a 15min taxi ride or 1hr do-able walk. We went during the spring break, which also coincided with many Batchelor parties. Unfortunately, the overnight noise from one or two who had taken advantage of the drinks kept everyone up. Not RUI’s fault but does spoil the enjoyment for other guests. To acknowledge, the lovely touch by the hotel to recognise the special occasion being celebrated. Would we go back? Definitely!

“Well done RIU, you have got it right!”

What can I say about our vacation at the Riu Palace las Americas, other than it was a near perfect experience. “First stay at a Riu”

Our group of 10 were there from 4/3-4/7. Overall, the resort is amazing. The beach is amazing. Rooms are very clean. Staff works very hard. Check in was easy and fast. Food on the buffet was ok, half of us thought it was great, and the other half thought it was average for an all inclusive.... more

“3 star”

Awful avoid it and go somewhere else Food is Awful American people being rowdy, as if they are the centre of the universe. Raw meat served in restaurants. Definitely not a peaceful vacation. First and last time. Will pay extra for live aqua next time.....
