We had an amazing trip. We had two rooms for a girls trip. I rented the Premium Sky Top Room. Both rooms were very comfortable and clean. The view will take your breath away. We really enjoyed the resort it was very easy to get around and really you could never leave the resort and have a great time. We took Long Beach walks, enjoyed the sunrise from our front entrance and the amazing sunsets from the beach. We loved the pool activities special shout out to Cesar, Leonardo and Jose Pepe for our Zumba class and the special birthday cake pictures. We were only in town for three nights but we would have loved to stay longer. We had breakfast at both the buffet and restaurant both were really good. We had dinner off property just because I have a couple of favorite restaurants that I enjoy. I had read that the service at this hotel was really really good and I can confirm this to be true. The beach is lovely. I always recommend water shoes because Cozumel has some rocky spots on the beaches. This is true here access is easy but I would bring my water shoes. Also your snorkel gear because the fish are right off the beach. We even saw rays. Book your trip and enjoy your stay.

We love Hotel El Coz! I went with my sister and 13 year old daughter and we loved the snorkeling, pools and best of all, the staff! Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy and had what we needed. When we checked in they put us on the 2nd floor and my sister needed a ground floor and Omar at the front desk was more than happy to move us. Randy, Luis, Manuel are just a few of the amazing employees we met. We loved the staff at the restaurant when we needed reservations as they went out of their way to accommodate my daughter who is very picky with her food. There is little to do in the evenings as far as entertainment but we played cards, yahtzee and visited with people we met so we were fine.

The hotel is not luxury but what made our stay was the employees. They went above and beyond. There are so many to name, Esperanza, Frederico, Edwin, Christian, Leo and the entrataiment guys. So many more who made it worth it. There are some things I would change. Instead of the Italian/mediterrean restaurant, make it Seafood! We are in the heart of fresh seafood! Keep it simple nothing expensive, but make it delicious! Also the liquor, I know all resorts sell bottom/well alcohol. But it shouldn’t be that it burns a hole in your stomach. Make it at least middle shelf, at least a name brand. Now if people want the expensive top shelf then offer it at a price. We are in a tropical island all ingredients should be fresh and not juice. Margaritas, fresh limes, sparkling water and a splash of orange juice to sweeten it. Fresh pineapple juice, oranges, mangos and so much more they have right there in their hands! Use it and maybe train the bartenders on how to mix and not over pour. Not all of us want to get drunk. But have a good time. Keeping it simple with everything the island has to offer makes it all better tasting. Also more lighting in the room, the rooms are spacious but needs more light, more pillows. Later work on better mattresses. Overall there are some things that need improvement. I get it trying to keep costs low but I think you spend more on canned, juiced and other things instead of using what the island offers. Like I said a seafood restaurant, I can eat pizza any day, we come to eat fresh mariscos, oysters, fish, crab, shrimp and so much more. Pizza, pasta and all that other stuff we can have during lunch, but make the other menus a little different. Happy with the staff and hotel overall. Would go back.

I am sure that this was a beautiful Resort at one time. Unfortunately they have Let It Go and it definitely needs some TLC! It run down, I'm surprised the owners do not care about that. There are areas where it's crumbling outside. my suggestion is fix the place up and you will have a lot more people to come there. Besides that the people who work there are excellent We had no issues with the staff at all. The best part about the resort is the snorkeling right there the water's perfect. They definitely need to do something about the birds coming in the buffet area you can't leave your food at the table at all or they'll come and get it and having birds fly around my food seems kind of gross they definitely can fix that problem very easily.
