Me and my future wife did 7 nights here early May 2024. We did the "Privilege" upgrade with a Junior Honeymoon Suite room. I would highly, highly recommend the privilege upgrade. With this, there is a private beach area, private pool area and private restaurant on the beach that only privilege guests have access to. They have a server from 10am-4pm patrolling these areas to bring you drinks and food. Biggest complaint is out of their control, the seaweed the 2nd half of our stay made the beaches un-usable and the smell became intolerable to be near the beach. First few days of our stay were just fine, a little seaweed but no big deal. Call them before you go and see if they expect heavy seaweed during your visit. The service we experienced with their "Privilege" upgrade was absolutely phenomenal. We felt like a king and queen for a week. Our private butler, Alberto, is probably the sweetest man we've ever met. They use Whatsapp for communication and Alberto checked in with us multiple times every day both via the app and in person to make sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be and was always checking to see if we needed anything. All of the staff everywhere was quick to greet us with a smile, an "Hola!" and to ask us how our stay was. Seriously probably the best service I've experienced in my life. I can't speak to how different it may be without the Privilege upgrade. Jesus the beach server and Jorge the beach butler were amazing with their service and their conversation. All the staff was just so friendly and it seemed genuine. I've been back for 6 days now and I already miss that kind of friendliness in day-to-day activities back home. The entertainment team was a lot of fun with lots of daily activities at the party pool. Don't drink the water at the restaurants or sitting on the bars, we think they gave us digestive issues. Stick to bottled water only. One complaint was having to ask multiple times to get our fridge refilled with drinks, but it would always happen eventually. This a boutique resort with a maximum of about 600 guests. Any food that was non-Mexican was below average. It's all-inclusive so this is expected. The Mexican food was always really good though, just stick to that. The resort was very clean. We had no intentions of ever coming back here (we like going new places), but we were so impressed with this place we want to come back when there is less seaweed. We really loved our vacation here. They do have someone is the lobby that will try to get you to do a timeshare presentation...he's easy to avoid if you don't want to do this. The spa also employs someone to patrol the resort constantly to ask you if you want a massage but they are not pushy...you say no, they move on. One evening, they had a "vendor" night like a market near the lobby and they use aggressive sales tactics. You could just walk past them, it was no biggie. A couple salespeople patrolled the beaches but they never even came up to us there were just around if you wanted to buy anything.

OMR Review We recently stayed at OMR for 9 days and this was our second time at this resort. We chose to go back for a number of reasons: the staff first and foremost, the food, the grounds, and the size of the resort. With it being adults only, it is nice to have the option of being at the quiet pool or the activities pool. The resort was very busy but it never felt like there wasn’t enough space or that it was too crowded. Although starting to look bit dated, it is more than perfect for a delightful getaway. We had an incredible vacation and want to especially highlight a few staff members: Jorge at the lobby bar, Yovannetti at the lobby/lounge, Vicente at the buffet, and Kendall and Grecia from the entertainment team. Vicente and Yovannetti were there for our first visit 3 years ago and we were so happy to see them again this time around. These 5 staff members are like family to us and they are the reason we will come back to this resort. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Our first adults only holiday and it was amazing! Me and my husband stayed for a week, we upgraded to privilege before our arrival, which included more room amenities, personal butler, beach butler, and reservations in some restaurants. Also privilege areas around the pool and beach, I would recommend checking the hotel website for full amenities for a more informed decision on this upgrade, but we enjoyed the extra luxuries. We never used the 'party pool' mainly due to loungers being 'claimed' early on in the day, usually on the way to breakfast at 7/7:30 most were had towels on them, although not allowed to 'claim' loungers, people still did. It was always lively and looked fun, you can hear from the 'quiet pool' but never bothered us. The 'quiet pool' was perfectly fine, loungers available, in sun and shade, also privilege loungers. It has loungers in the pool also.The water gradually gets deeper, and there is a small area to jump in to. Beach is beautiful, staff were always clearing up the sargassum each morning, obviously, mother nature will do its business so you can't guarantee clear access to the water, but it was still accessible if you walk over it. Plenty of loungers, hammocks on the beach, also balinese beds for privilege. Lovely little photo opportunities dotted around, little signs etc (see photos) If you turn left at the beach and walk along about 10/15 mins you get to a small lagoon. Lovely little area with fish and turquoise water, be mindful as there is a current and it is strong. During our stay we used the buffet and La Hacienda, although I didn't rate the food as anything special, Privilege Restaurant (loved the pancakes and maple syrup, hubby like the eggs Benedict for breakfast, waiter David was a lovely kid and very polite!) Look out for resident cat Pancho :) , El Charro, the mexican, I enjoyed a burger at lunch, and the quesadillas at dinner. We never got to dine at Blue Moon or the japanese. Mikes coffee is good for cookies, light bites of sandwiches, hot coffee ( machines in room were only luke warm). Ice cream parlour was a nice treat in the sun too! Drinks wise, not big drinkers anyway, I had pepsi mostly, and hubby had beers. But I did have 2 cocktails, 'love'on the beach, I found it quite strong, as in more alcohol than what im used to at home, so my personal preference i didn't have much. So I can't comment on alcohol. Our original room was a honeymoon suite, with jacuzzi and garden view. It was a fairly small room but it did the job. I'm glad we had garden view as ocean view are either near the pools/restaurants which would not be as quiet, or not ground floor, so no hut tub jacuzzi. We did have a leak in the shower so got moved to honeymoon suite in the privilege building, which was much roomier, and had 2 sinks, and more outdoor space including jacuzzi, and loungers. My only problem, personally is A/C, I'm an 'always cold' kinda person and A/C was an annoyance not only temp wise but quite noisy. Staff are all amazing, super friendly, helpful, our butler Fabien was great, he even went to walmart to get us a suitcase as we over indulged on souvenirs. The hotel itself, was immaculate, you always saw someone doing something, whether it be maids, groundsperson, maintenance, they keep it very tidy and beautiful. Animals were great, saw plenty of lizards, iguanas, coatis, various birds and pelicans. Never bothered you. There was alot of sickness reported before we arrived, but after staying and reviewing everyone, I strongly believe it was a case of sanitation, on part of guests. Not the hotel. For example the buffet, there are many people using the ladels and utensils at each setting, and I can guarantee not everyone will be an avid hand washer, and I believe there were germs just spreading through lack of basic hand washing, and also, like I said before, drinks seemed to be high in alcohol, mix this with 34 degree C heat, not a good combination. So on that topic, I recommend be responsible in the sun and with drinks, and practice hand washing. If you're planning any excursions, margarita from diveit Mexico is by the pool and she offers a variety of trips. We went on the catamaran trip to isla murjeres, we didn't do the snorkeling included in the trip as our group on the boat collectively agreed the water was too rough. Juan and the guys at m&t memories made sure we had a great day and drinks were always flowing. We also went to tulum ruins and cenotes with Eric, he was a fab tour guide and very informative. I recommend choosing a cooler time of year for any walking tour, the 34 °c heat was too much to be walking around the ruins and I was rushing to get back to the meeting point. We also took a cab to 5th avenue, about 60 usd return. Lots of shops, selling really the same things mainly mexican pottery, souvenirs, shirts, lots of restaurants and bars, beware the people trying to say they know you from your resort, a waiter/butler they clock your wristband and know where you're from and are just trying to get you to buy something. Be prepared to say no thank you and carry on. Haggle where you can. Personal preference but do not entertain the people with chained up animals, one particular place with a white tiger and lion cub, sad to see but different country different rules. Keep moving. Overall locals are Friendly and I felt safe, just hassled to buy really. Just learn to say no or like my husband you'll end up spending 6000 peso on peanut butter tequila and needing a suitcase to get it home 😅 ( only had carry on originally) all in all its 10/10, book it, live it, enjoy it, you won't regret it

My husband and I and two other couple friends have just returned after a 10 day holiday. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy and was definitely a 5 star in this respect. The buffet restaurant had a wide variety of food and was all very nice. There are a couple of restaurants which you need to book a table. However, the booking system could be a lot better as you need to be at the restaurant at 5:30 to try and book. Privilege guests also got priority. Umbrellas by the pool are limited and they should have a few more. Entertainment is good but be prepared to watch the same shows if you are going for more than a week. Kenddell is by far the best entertainer at the resort and went the extra mile to know all of our names after the first days introduction. His Aqua aerobics was amazing and the best one I have ever taken part in and he is definitely a 5 star entertainer 🌟
