We stayed at Posada Mariposa 🦋 for 15 nights. A manager of the hotel and all staff are super friendly, nice and always so their best to give their guests the best possible experience. The room we stayed it was nice but very loud during night due to live music at the restaurants in the area. The hotel is located in the heart of the life of the city — restaurants, shops, music, street performance and so on. When we asked the manger to help us find a room that is more quiet, she gladly helped us and then our stay became incredibly pleasant. This place became our home like place. Great air conditioning and fun are in the room. Bed and pillow where comfortable. Cleaning lady made sure our room is super clean and with everything fresh. Hotel has a complimentary continental breakfast and discount for full breakfast a restaurant nearby that became our favorite breakfast place to it with incredible food and family like restaurant staff. Beach is just couple blocks away, 5-7 minutes of walking, which we enjoyed every day. Hotel provides access to incredible full gym, which was really useful for us, as my husband and I are runners and use gym several times a week for weights. Definitely Posada Mariposa Hotel is the place where you feel welcomed and want to comeback too. Thank you 🙏 Fernanda, Saul, Ana, Julio for making our stay so pleasant and make us feel welcomed.

“Best cheap option, great location and service!”

The perfect combination between great location, great price, good service and decor. It’s located in the middle of the 5th Ave. You can sometimes hear the bands playing or people shouting, but if you don’t complain about it, the rest is perfect. Nice vegetation at the lobby, the breakfast includes coffee, fruits, toast, granola yogurt and muffin at a beautiful Italian restaurant close to the hotel, and it’s included a gym pass to go everyday around the corner, great gym too. I recommend this accommodation everyday and I will definitely come back.

First I have to say - my husband and I really loved our 6 night stay at Posada Mariposa. The location for us was awesome. Easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful beach! The air conditioner in the room was the best of any hotel room we've ever had because we could make it as cold as we wanted during the night. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful - arranging transportation, recommending restaurants and beach locations. The housekeeping staff did a great job and our room and towels were refreshed every day - not something you get all the time since COVID. We have 2 complaints about this hotel. First was the bed. We had room #45 Suite Luna. The bed was so hard and the springs in the mattress could not be avoided. The pillows were great and abundant but the mattress made for rough nights sleep. Second was the hot water - or lack of. The sink hot water wasn't - never got above room temperature. The shower had hot water if we were lucky. But not consistent. Of the 6 showers I took I had hot water 2 times. The other times it was just lukewarm. Overall, would we stay here again - YES!

I thought I embraced what I would be expecting Based on other reviews. The good: The hotel itself is beautiful, Very local feel to it. The greenery inside in the main lobby is luscious and well taken care of and beautiful. My room at 1st glance was pretty decent ( their premium room), it had king size 4 poster bed, 2 ceiling fans in the room lots of lightning though a couple of the lights didn't work. Ample charging spots for all your devices. Smaller TV that offered Netflix and Amazon prime. Decent sized closet and an in room safe they give you the lock and key upon checkin. The staff were very friendly. Water was a small waterfall shower head, takes a min but hot water is good. Truly like a rainfall water pressure. Toilet requests not to flush TP, so get some baby wipes and dispose in the small garbage can. The not so good: If your a light sleeper and early to bed type of person it's definitely not for you. Maybe with ear plugs though I didn't try. There are live bands below that play nightly and they are very loud and run at least until 11-11:30 PM. You literally will hear 3 different types of music at the same time. The bed very very firm almost like sleeping on the floor. So if you like that type of firmness on a bed you're good, lots of pillows including body pillows. I have to go buy one of those egg carton type topper things to put on top and it didn't help. They provide no bottled water in room though, they did have a water cooler downstairs in the lobby that i saw later. They also don't provide any kind of coffee in the lobby in the mornings , pretty much 0 amenities. They do give you a voucher for a continental breakfast across from them I didn't try that either. This hotel is literally smack in-between everything and very hard to spot. Your driver will have to park down around the corner and you will have to walk a little with your suitcases. I stayed 3 nights and my back can't take it anymore, Also a light sleeper tho a night owl. This truly is you get what you pay for type of place. Just not my type of place. The pix online are very accurate.
