We stayed at the Fives the week of April 8th, 2024 and have one thing to say ‘ The Trip of a LIFETIME 😊’ We booked 2 deluxe rooms, and got upgraded to a 1 bedroom, incredibly spacious so we had 2 Villas to ourselves! The King size bed is way bigger than our king at home and the pull out sofa bed is the size of our regular king at home. So if you have a family of 5 and are willing to share, you will be satisfied! The shower is wonderful, nice hot water. The Pullout bed is not good quality though - sunken in the middle so that was annoying. The food – amazing – this is what made the trip so awesome, watch my video and you will be shocked at the amount available! Fresh pasta cooked how you like, all the meats – shrimp, chicken, steak, pork, cooked to perfection in front of you. The maids are so sweet and kind, my son googled a message in Spanish to leave them a tip! Arezzo is the most amazing restaurant and the food is like no other, no Canadian restaurant can compare. The Kids chicken finger and fries are so crispy – the lamb t-bone steak is delicious and the risotto is so yummy you want another bowl of it. The waiters are attentive, offered us alternatives for our allergies. The entertainment at night was hilarious, loved how they dragged our kids out and made them dance! Wildlife – the absolute highlight of my time was watching the MONKEYS – they are soooo cute, have babies and just saunter by right in front of you, the jungle music is a nice touch. The beach – if you walk down a little bit, you will see little fish in the areas pooling with water – so your little ones can stand their and watch and fish if they like. A great huge thank you to the fives beach residences and hotel, this is a bucket list trip that we accomplished! We pray we can afford to come back again in our lifetime AGAIN one day.....dreaming.....

“Relax & Unwind!”

This particular resort provides an environment to truly relax and unwind. It offers different experiences, including yoga, entertainment shows, and much more! I had the opportunity to do yoga all week and it was amazing. I do recommend this place!

“Amazing time with family”

This resort is amazing!! Love the atmosphere, all the activities, and especially yoga in the morning at a beautiful spot on top of a building over looking the beach, pool and grounds. The food is awesome. Would definitely recommend this resort to family and friends. 🌴🏖️🍹

The grounds and wildlife at the resort is amazing, and everything is well maintained plenty of staff around doing jobs. The front desk staff are also incredible along with the team in blue who organise trips. Both teams were very helpful, kind and informative. The room was great and we had no problems we were located in block 11 next to the lobby. The cleaner always made the room spotless and we were very happy with the service. The room AC was also very good along with the safe and the fridge was always stocked up. One thing in our room was the balcony door didn’t lock. The food in the hotel is very hit and miss, I would avoid the buffet for dinner as it’s quite small and very repetitive with not the widest range of food. The restaurant also has a bit of an issue with a long wait time as if you go for dinner after 6pm you may have to wait 1-2 hours. We rated the Italian, Thai and Mexican restaurant very highly. We didn’t enjoy the French restaurant and our tip would be to avoid any steak on site as it was chewy and very fatty. I couldn’t review sea olive as it was always shut and it seems every time they have a wedding that restaurant was shut and that seems to be everyday. Lunch is great either at the beach or adults pool bar, Burgers, tacos and pizza all tasted great with the burgers being unreal. You are spoiled with lunch and breakfast was also pretty good with the 2 buffets being available. The French one opens at half 6 perfect for before excursions. The staff are also very good and efficient at the restaurants and buffets very hard working. Another great thing about the resort is the beach and main pool are side by side, which also makes it quite busy but we never struggled to get a sun-bed. One thing that was a little disappointing is half the space is taken up by Bali beds. Which I think cost $130 a day but when they do weddings almost everyday it can reduce the space on the beach. The hotel staff will really harass you with a 90 minutes sale pitch to become part of the fives vip club. We luckily skipped this but heard around 10 other guest complain how rude the sales staff are and insulted them multiple times. Hearing this isn’t great and we found we were asked about spa treatments 3-5 times a day. We just found some of the restaurants and buffets are a bit too small for the amount of people trying to visit them and the same with shows in the lobby we had to stand for any shows and it was very crowded. This is also true with the single bar serving the beach and main pool can have queues of 15-20 people. This is countered a bit by waiters serving drinks in which a few tips will help and we had great service. The drinks taste great and the 1910 bar adults only was amazing for drinks and service. The gin bar was also very good and they also have plenty of other bars to grab a drink. The thing I thought was the worst part of the hotel is the day entertainment. Not much goes on during the day compared to other 5 star hotels I’ve been. I enjoyed playing beach volleyball everyday but that was mainly with other guest who brought their own ball. Also no water sports on the beach included. I found it hard to find a nice coffee as the Marley shop onsite is an extra cost and the ice cream shop having the premium ice cream at an extra cost, a little bit annoying at an all inclusive. Another tip bring a metal cup or glass as they serve drinks mostly in plastic cups. I don’t think this resort is 5 stars being 3-4 but makes up for it with good service and being well maintenance. It can also be quite difficult to find out what restaurants are open as we found the buffet, Mexican and sea olive was shut a couple of times. Also we stayed for 2 weeks and found the entertainment and schedule of the hotel is weekly so you end up seeing the same shows twice. Thanks
