“Lovely !”

Went there with two of my girls. We were treated like royalty ! Staff was kind, the place is extra clean... And the food was excellent ! To top it off, it was very affordable ! Well located. It was our first Riad but it sure won't be our last. There was this great vibe to it. I recommend it !

The property is ideally sited near to the perimeter wall of the medina (old town), so it makes it easy to locate and more convenient when you are making your way to other parts of the town. I understand that the house has recently been purchased by a young couple, Nasser and Sara, who own Explora, a local water sports business. I met them several times, and they were very friendly and extremely helpful in catering to my various requests and queries. The house is used mainly by the surfing fraternity, several of whom I met. I was a good bit older (?) than them, but they were all good company, and it was nice to hear the tales of their water based activities. I was in Essaouira for one weeks horse riding, which incidentally was great fun, but ended up staying for four. The lady who serves you breakfast and attends to matters about the house is really nice. She does not speak very much English, but more than I do either Arabic or French! You will find her very helpful. All in, a nice place to stay, with nice people.

A lovely quiet Riad located in the Medina - a fantastic location! Beautifully and simply decorated, both the private rooms/bathrooms and the common areas were pleasant to spend some down time in. Rooms on the street side did raise the issue of street noise, but on the other side the only issue was the active seagull letting us know their presence! Most importantly for me the rooms were cool and airy - great as the temps outside continue to soar.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Perfect location, very friendly owners, nice breakfast at long table during which you chat with other travelers. Rooms are simple but with nice decor. Be prepared for Moroccan type of bathroom ;) Don’t forget to ask the owners about local fish restaurant nearby. Amazing ... more
