Stayed here for a week in July 2023. The complex operates only as self catering.. There’s no bar, drinks or food in complex despite having the amenities for same. Some apartments are owned by hotel and owned by private owners. We stayed in apartment owned by private owner. It was on the ground floor. Very clean and airy. Nice sheltered balcony and loads of room to dry clothes. Pool area is clean and loads of sunbeds available. A few tiles missing but nothing too much. It is the perfect location for old town and the beach. You can walk in via the board walk. 10/15 minute walk. Highly recommend.

Lovely receptionist, the area this is located is nice, close to the beach about a 15 min walk to the strip or old town. Lovely receptionist, the area this is located is nice, close to the beach about a 15 min walk to the strip or old town. The room however was average, the room is dirty mainly in corners and under the bed, and had bugs in the bathtub a couple of nights. The balcony is quite big however wish they had an ashtray. The cleaners only cleaned the room once and the 2nd time my friend asked for them to clean they didn’t take the bins out or done the bed so not actually sure if they even cleaned the room. Read that the pool was only open July- September but the pool was open. The Jacuzzi was broken apparently and didn’t actually know where it was. They told us to go to a different hotel went there for them to say the same thing went to the third hotel of theirs which had an indoor pool and jacuzzi. Tried to play pool the one night but was blocked by loads of chairs so not sure what that was about. So overall was average but wouldn’t stay here longer than a couple of days.

We went on a three generational holiday booked as an EasyJet holiday. I must admit we were a bit apprehensive before travelling after looking at some less than flattering reviews. However, check-in at the hotel was quick and efficient, the lady at reception was polite. We had three rooms booked, Grandparents got an upgrade from studio to apartment so they were happy. However one member of the party travelling as single was allocated a room on the ground floor that was eye level with swimming pool. We nicknamed it the dungeon. It was a bit smelly, the shower curtain grubby and there was no soap dispenser in the shower room. Security was an issue too, as it looked as if somebody had been in the room, which caused her to ask to be moved after the second night, which reception accommodated. The large pool and the kiddies pools were fine, but there are small tiles coming off. This did not affect out holiday and in no way affected safety. The large slaps around the pool are showing signs of settlement but this again is a minor issue. We did not have to get up a silly o'clock to put towels out on sunbeams - there were always enough. The biggest problem is that it was really hot while we were staying and there are not enough parasols around the pool. The ones that ere there are starting to look a bit tired - splits and holes I them. The room we stayed in was clean, plenty of space. The kitchen has an induction hob, toaster, fridge and all utensils needed for a self-catering holiday - although we didn't use anything apart from the toaster. You have a tea towel but do need to provide own washing up liquid and dishcloth or sponge/scourer. There are cups and saucers for hot drinks, so, in anticipation we took our own mugs, as cups are not big enough. The bed was two singles pushed together. We found this very comfortable with very good pillows. Bath and shower was adequate, plenty of hot water. Balcony had an airer and two chairs and table. These apartments obviously used to do food - "Restaurant" appears in the lifts as an option on floor two. There is now a redundant bar area, a lounge area that nobody uses and a terrace area. There is also a gym - I didn't use it so can't comment on it. This is on the ground floor, level with the pool. It's a real pity that there the bar isn't open for drinks, teas and coffees, soft drinks or poolside snacks. To my mind the management should move the gym up to where the bar used to be, and open a snack bar/bar where the gym is. In saying that there is a snack bar three doors up the hill, and a restaurant, called Panacee (the staff there are fabulous) a minutes walk down the hill. There are "supermercados" selling bread, milk, ice creams, the usual stuff more or less next door. There are two bars immediately next door to the apartments. We paid 15 Euros for the security safe for a week. The beach is three minutes walk down the hill. You can ask into the old town, for us 15 minute walk either up the hill, turn left, down the hill and carry on past the Italian restaurant an up the narrow road to the escalators that take you to the main drag. Or go down to the beach, along the boardwalk more or less as far as it goes, then up some steps. Taxi into town about €6-7. There are cocktails bars on the beach - but we didn't use them. Pairs of sunbeds on the beach with parasol €10 - €15 per day. Previous reviews have made comments about the decor and overall appearance of these apartments. I think it is fair to say that in its pomp Luna Clube Oceano was a fine place to stay, but the outside rendering does look a bit tatty, the ironwork on the balcony is rusty, I've mentioned the slabs around the pool and the pool needs re-tiling. The place is in need of some TLC. The unused bar, redundant lounge and terrace makes it loo a bit sad. But maybe they can't compete with the bars next door who stay open until late, although to be fair they were not busy and not at all noisy. The big fly in the ointment was that on the third day of our holiday, a 20 member stag party rolled up. The first afternoon was very rowdy, with booze and bad language. It took only 45 minutes for staff to come out and remind the gentlemen that glass was not permitted around the pool. To be fair to the guys, I appreciate that after a days travelling there is loads of pent up energy so I'll cut them some slack. They cleared up all their empties, and individually they were great to talk to, but I can imagine for some it may have been an unwelcome distraction. After the first afternoon they were much more subdued (well, what we saw of them). I would not say this spoiled our holiday and the grandchildren found it highly amusing to see them infancy dress before they went out on their last night. Overall we had a pleasant stay, with the exception of the room on the ground floor, (from where a room change was effected) the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The pool area was clean, and we were not affected by noise from road traffic or bars etc. One final tip, if you are looking for places to eat in the old town, I'd look a bit further afield than the restaurants on the main square, which we found expensive with underwhelming portion sizes.
