This hotel is spread out in various dedicated buildings located on a quiet side street. The buildings are very clean. The breakfast is very good--scrambled eggs, meat, pastries, yogurt, fruit, nuts, and more. The hotel is located an easy walking distance both to the beach and to the boardwalk that goes to the lighthouse and beyond. We also walked to downtown Lagos, which took about 15 minutes. There are also several restaurants less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The neighborhood is very safe. The hotel has a parking lot, and there is also parking available on the street.

“Great Place to Stay”

Fantastic place to stay, the rooms are spacious and are cleaned daily. Great location close to the ponte de piedade and numerous beaches. They have a fantastic self serve breakfast every morning which is great to start the day not having to worry where to eat.

First I’ll tell you the good stuff. The best thing about this hotel is the restaurant. Breakfast was fabulous and so was dinner. The restaurant staff were very nice and hard working especially Sunni at breakfast. The manager of restaurant in the evening was very knowledgable about his wines and food. On Wednesdays they have a special Cataplana evening which was superb with Portuguese sausage for starter which comes to the table on fire. Our room was kept clean to a very high standard everyday. We had a lovely terrace with table & chairs plus 2 sun beds which sadly couldn’t use much because of building works, plus there’s beach towels in your room, you don’t have to pay a deposit for them which is a nice touch. The pool area was very nice lovely sun beds by our room 1602 in the grey villa. You could always get a sun bed as only the people in your building used them. Now for the bad stuff. There was not a door on bathroom the toilet had a opaque glass door with a gap round it there wasn’t any privacy which young people might like but I don’t think most like listening to their other half or friends going to the toilet. There’s building work going on all around hotel plus a new road being made about 200 yds away with diggers electrical tools going all day. The villa next door to our building was being renovated so you had grinders power saws cement mixers going from 8-15 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday this really spoilt our holiday as we’d gone to relax instead we ended up staying away from the hotel as long as we could. You couldn’t sit on your terrace because of the noise and dust. Also 300yds away 3 new hotels being built 3 cranes swinging building materials around. These drawbacks spoilt our holiday. We had not been told about any of the works prior to arriving at the hotel even though reception informed us that they had told the holiday company’s.
