What a wonderful hotel. I recently stayed here for a few weeks with my mother. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach. There are a few small shops around to get water and aldi 5 minutes from the hotel. My mother is a coeliac and all her food has to be gluten free. It can be a real chore when travelling, but not at this hotel. They bring out a special gluten free menu for lunch and dinner and it shows what is gluten free. If somewhere there isn't gluten free, they can ask the kitchen to make it especially for her. The selection of food and the staff, make this hotel truly special. Its a real little jem. Every member of staff is very helpful, polite and welcoming - from restaurant to reception to housekeeping and maintenence. But especially Ana in the restaurant. She was a real star. Please bear in mind that the hotel is mainly frequented by Spanish guests, so the food is mostly to Spanish tastes and so is the entertainment. Communication can be a little difficult but nothing that some patience and Google translate usually cannot fix. We only had 3 small issues with our stay in our room 610. First, the rooms are very dark, but maintenence were happy to remove the lampshades for us, which helped a lot. Secondly, our sink stopper was broken for the entity of our stay. It was one of those ones that you press down to fill the sink and press again to release it and let the water drain. It was totally stuck and we hand-wash clothes on holiday to save bag space. I managed to get it to release after effort, but the bolt looked broken and the spring came out. We went to reception, but sadly this was the one incidence where Google translate didn't work. We eventually figured we could stop the water by putting a bottle top in the sink when we needed. The third incident was there was only 2 single sockets in the bedroom. One next to the patio door and one on one side of the bed. I had to constantly charge a powerbank to charge my phone at night. But despite these very minor niggles, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who loves a quiet hotel in a quiet resort with a beautiful small safe beach 5 minutes walk away.

“Not quite as good as last time but still nice”

I stayed here at almost the same time last year so thought it would be a good place to take my daughter and grandchildren. We were disappointed that this year the included wine and water with meals did not start until November, however this was not promised (nice surprise last year). The reply to my last review said that if we made known our requirements a vegetarian diet would be provided. However although I sent an email in advance and also spoke to a receptionist about it on our first day it was if anything more difficult than last year. I felt the food in general wasn't quite as good. Most dining staff were different from last year. They took your plate as you put the last mouthful in - it makes a lot more washing up when you were going to get some more. Bit weird and not relaxing. We loved the pool area (apart from the uncomfortable sunbeds) with the relaxing sound of waterfalls and the kids spent a lot of time in the pools . I like that all rooms are external, the beds quite comfortable and the pillows lovely. Lots of nice walks around. We were a bit bored by all the line dancing. All shows were very late and didn't last long. Maybe entertainment is better in the summer. Despite some criticisms still worth four rating.

Rooms were good (but a fridge would be good). I was full board and the food was very nice. Water and wine is now included with meals. I don't eat meat so it would be better not to put ham in runner beans or scrambled eggs and I wish there were more often vegetarian soups but there was still plent... more

Rooms were good (but a fridge would be good). I was full board and the food was very nice. Water and wine is now included with meals. I don't eat meat so it would be better not to put ham in runner beans or scrambled eggs and I wish there were more often vegetarian soups but there was still plenty to choose from. The cooked breakfast was not great but there was a great array of continental.. The dining room staff were pleasant and very efficient. The room cleaners did an excellent job. Everyone was Spanish there and a lot seemed to be repeat visitors. The hotel was very well run. I was disappointed the jacuzzis weren't heated and the sunbeds won't sit up so I found them uncomfortable. Like most places in Spain now, there's no smoking on the bar terrace. I wanted to put a review on Travel Republic but don't seem to be able to. On here worth more than 4 but less than 5.
