A great hotel with 9 floors and two lifts or stairs. All rooms have a balcony but some over look the rear and there’s as quiet train there. It’s half way up a steep hill if you’re a little unfit or overweight. A 6 minute walk to the beach and the beach is perfect. Sandy, Palm trees restaurants etc. The only thing it does lack is a good selection of bars? Only two bars and one of those on the corner is very low end filled with smoking Brummies doing karaoke! If you want a great bar walk east for a quarter mile along the beach to the Caribbean bar run by Gavin and Alex. Great music and buzz here. The hotel is very clean and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble if you are polite and respectful. Restaurant is very good with excellent choices of food if you are half or full board. Beers are cheap and the two pools are first class. A large terrace overlooking the garden but… the evening entertainment is shockingly bad!! Really bad! Awful, so don’t expect anything less from the music stage!!! Rooms are spacious and comfy, showers powerful and hot. Security Is excellent Train station is just fixed minutes away so access to airport or Fuengirola is simple, cheap and easy at around €3 one way for two stops. A huge s/h market on Saturdays but keep your wallet close to you for pick-pockets. Very safe otherwise. Very worth the visit to pick up a souvenir or two. Lunch time snacks are Bocadillos or cheese tomato toasty baguettes and cost around €3.40ea coffee is good at €1.70 each but say Mui-Caliente pronounced Mooey Calientay (very hot) otherwise they’re always luke-warm! Rent a bicycle for the day not a hour. cycle to the other beach resorts easily for very little €. Rent a car from Maol cars, reception will organise it at around € 184 for three full days and go see Marbella, Gibraltar and a god awful place called Puerto Banús (filled with idiots in Lamborghini BUT the most amazing Yachts on display!! Torreblanca, a very pleasant surprise in April with temps around 23degs and rising. Very quiet and pleasant before the crowds arrive and ruin it.

Here for 5 nights. Lovely hotel, quick check in and room available early. Big airy room with corner balcony, views of the sea and mountains. Food plentiful usual buffet style with daily fish and meats (horse!) from the grill. Dining room quite busy with 2 bus tours Spanish and German. Evening entertainment enjoyable and drinks from bar reasonable. 35 step walk to stairs at train station 2 stops into central Fuengerola and 6 stops to Torremolinos. Quick clean and cheap. Same train goes to Malaga. 5 minutes walk down to promenade with restaurants bars, supermarket. A bit of a walk to marina but all on the flat. Would stay closer to main drag next time but would definitely return to Fuengerola to explore more.

“Our go to for Costa del Sol”

Friendly, relaxed, comfortable, clean. We managed to get a local train travel card and could get from the hotel to pretty much anywhere including the airport so conveniently. The staff really went to town at Halloween weekend and were always so attentive, kind and friendly. The food was fabulous.... more

Friendly, relaxed, comfortable, clean. We managed to get a local train travel card and could get from the hotel to pretty much anywhere including the airport so conveniently. The staff really went to town at Halloween weekend and were always so attentive, kind and friendly. The food was fabulous. I don't know how the chefs can offer so much variety and choice rvery day at such high quality. There is just one thing I would plead with them to do. Now that the rooms are renovated and upgraded to this century they must do likewise with the reception and communal area. A good friend of mine stayed here with us and she has travelled a lot. She loved it, like us, but agreed with me: the reception is the face of the hotel and this one looks cheap, tired and old-fashioned and belies the true natute of the place. It really would not cost a fortune to sort this out.I need to add a note of thanks again to the staff who could not be nicer.

We stayed here 18th -25th October as a group of 10 (2 families). The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and modern. The main hotel and pool areas were lovely and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you like a cuppa in the morning be sure to take a kettle as there is no kettle in the room. The train is just round the corner and great for exploring other areas. The beach is a short walk away and there are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. There is also a local supermarket which is reasonably priced. We were half board, I wasn't keen on cooked breakfast but what brit abroad is as let's face it the bacon is never the same, there was always something for me to eat. The evening meals were good quality with variety, only downside is something's were no replenished quickly enough. We didn't go to the evening entertainment so can't comment on that. All in all a great, friendly, clean and welcoming hotel. There is a hill leading up to the hotel but the exercise did us good to burn off those extra calories consumed.
