Just back 20th April, I’ve given 5* because we had a very relaxing peaceful chilled week. I went with my 2 grown up daughters. One is visually impaired so I requested a ground floor 2 bedroom apartment in advance. It was ready for us on arrival and was perfect. Nothing fancy but we had everything we needed plus a large terrace overlooking the pool, very safe for my daughter. The location is fabulous, right on the beach and very quiet. It was also very easy to find as we had a hired car. We booked breakfast and evening meal as we were going out into the mountains some days. No complaints, the food was very good. Most of all we appreciated the chilled no hassle vibe the hotel has. We came home feeling very relaxed. Our only complaint was the fact that no soft drinks were included with the evening meal, not even water which we had to buy for 3 euros per glass bottle. There is an indoor pool hidden away in the spa area but you have to pay to use it. The staff are all polite and easy going which really adds to the experience. We booked with love holidays so keeping our luggage down to 2 hold cases the holiday was almost £200 cheaper than Jet 2 . I will recommend this hotel and gladly return.

Just returned from a great Easter break in Nerja, staying all inclusive at Marinas de Nerja. The hotel is spotlessly clean, well maintained with friendly staff and a prime brach front location. The two bedroom apartments have plenty of space for 5-6 people and the facilities represent good value for money. There was no problem getting loungers by the pool or on the grassed area towards the beach, although some of the loungers could benefit from being repaired / replaced. The bar and restaurant staff are great and the choice of food in the restaurant, particularly the fresh salad bar is excellent for an all inclusive hotel. 30 min beachfront walk into the beautiful town of Nerja where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and traditional Spanish buildings which make it a great place to enjoy the sunshine. Highly recommend Nerja and Marinas for families and couples. If you’re wanting to watch any live sports when in Nerja, across the road from the hotel is the Tropicana Urbanisation, where you’ll find a bar with pool that has a good menu choice and shows most televised sporting events.

We have just had a fantastic 5 night stay, we stayed all inclusive, so upon arrival, the reception took our cases into a office behind reception and informed us that lunch time finished at 3 o clock so before we went to our room to grab some lunch so we didn't miss out in our 1st meal, we found all the staff very helpful and friendly all round the hotel. Our room was OK, little dated and the bed was a bit too firm for me, but very clean ,and was cleaned daily. The pool area is fantastic overlooking the beach and sea, plenty of sun loungers , pool extremely cold though. But I did brave it daily!. All inclusive food I found was great for myself, plenty of different fish served each day, salad bar fresh with great choice. I'm not a desert person, but the ice-cream was delicious 😋. The hotel is around a 30 min walk into nerja, there is a bus for 1 euro that come outside the hotel you could jump on, " ask hotel for time' or a taxi cost around 7 euro. To round our stay up, we really enjoyed it here and would definitely stay again x

Bear in mind, we went for a short break, just 4 nights so nothing could have really spoilt that. Had we been staying longer, it may have been different. We arrived later than planned, 11:30am but were told check in was 2pm. They allowed us to dump the luggage. Here’s a tip, back a bag on the top of one of your cases with swimmers and sun lotion - everything you’ll need. Our room wasn’t ready till 4pm! Booked a partial sea view. We were on the ground floor and only standing on a chair could I see a glimmer of ocean. Not worth the extra cost. Only one restaurant for all meals. The pool bar has snacks but you have to pay extra, even all inclusive! Food has to be taken in the dining room. Well cooked, fresh food but very ‘samey’. Not sure we could have coped with a week. Rooms are clean and spacious but ‘tired’ as with many Costa hotels, open all year round. Pool - dear god that’s cold! A real shame for the children especially as even they can’t tolerate it for long. It looks beautiful and if you’re really hot in the summer months it may be better but for us, the sea was warmer but there’s a steep shelf so beware. The hotel is worth a trip if you want to use it as a base or if you’re having a short trip. In low season there aren’t many restaurants open locally unless you go into Nerja but it may be more worth while to go B&B. We didn’t hate it but not worth 4 stars, in our opinion.
