“Great time”

Brilliant time at this hotel.could not fault it.staff,food,entertainment were fantastic.rooms were clean and cleaned throughout our stay.Kids had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave,thanks for everything ,will definitely be back in the future

Just got back from a week at H10 Mediterranean Village and we had a great time! The hotel is clean, the staff are great (aside from one lady in the bar who was very abrupt). Special mention to Lixandro in the bar and Torres of the Animation team who made our time even better. We were a party of 2 mums with our sons aged 2 and 10. We had 2 pool-view rooms. Plenty of things to entertain kids of all ages! The entertainment for kids and adults was fab, the food was great and plenty of choice. We took the bus to Portaventura and taxis to Salou, short journey and cost between 10-15€ depending on where we were going. Couldn’t fault the hotel, staff or any part of our holiday. Would definitely return

I'll start with the good stuff as it was a pleasant holiday. The hotel itself is great. 99 percent of the staff are brilliant and always helpful. Cleaners were lovely and did an awesome job. They alone get a full 5 stars from me. The pools whilst freezing at the time of year we went, were enough to satisfy ever age group. We went half board and meals were very varied from full English breakfasts to an array of beautiful delicious desserts. The parts that have taken stars off for our experience were, if you hire a car you have to pay €18 per night to park at the hotel. This would have doubled our car hire budget so we parked on street about half a mile away. The hotel itself is nowhere near a 'nice' child/pram friendly beach or many shops so we needed a car. Evening meals do not include any drinks. You are expected to buy drinks within the restaurant which cost a fortune when you are a large family. We bought a bottle of water at the small shop within the hotel and took that in but were told off in front of everyone for doing this. I have had a throat operation which means i now choke easily whilst swallowing food so need water with my meals and couldn't afford the restaurant prices every day... so be warned, you have to buy their drinks or die of thirst. The showers change temperature by themselves. One second you're enjoying a nice shower the next you are being scalded. Not fun if you have sunburn and if you are showering a small child please be aware it does it in a split second without warning. The rooms are non smoking but apparently the balconies are not. I think all smokers should be in one part of the hotel building and non smokers in another. The people on the right side of our balcony were smoking constantly on their balcony and we had to keep closing our patio doors as it was coming into our bedroom. We have a one year old and don't smoke so it was absolutely disgusting for us. If you want to use the indoor pool you have to buy a swimming cap from the reception desk or shop on the premises and the chlorine smell is so overwhelming my eyes stung when we got near so we gave that a miss. The last point is the key to your door is a wrist band made out of what I can only guess is fibre glass and cactus spikes. The ends are so long they end up in your food and drink. They stay wet for a while after showering and irritated my skin so much i had a rash. We managed to get ours off and attached them to out phones. I wouldn't recommend the hotel or visit again as for us it was just so far away from the hustle and bustle we love about Spain when we visit but for those looking for somewhere remote it would be great.
