Just back from spending a very relaxed week at this lovely hotel. I really can not fault this hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly, my room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The food was plentiful and on the whole very good (I struggled a couple of evening to find something I fancied.....but I think that was just me). The pool area is very clean, plenty of sunbeds. I did choose to spend time on the rooftop (away from the kiddies.....as I didn't realise so many were still off for Easter), the rooftop is adults only, a lovely area to relax, with cold showers and a little swimming pool......the toilets were spotless! A short walk to the local beaches and a free shuttle bus each day to beaches a little further away. I can't wait to return to this hotel and I would definitely recommend it.

We decided to choose this hotel based on reviews and decided to go all inclusive so I shall be reviewing different areas of the service and facilities: Hotel The hotel is very big and spacious. Rooms are of good size. The place was clean from the initial look and smelt pleasant. As we visited during the heatwave, their aircon was lacking a little in the restaurant, bar and foyer but the rooms aircon were good. Restaurant toilets were clean. Communal toilets in foyer need a good clean. They stank even after being cleaned. Their light saving switch needs a longer lights on period. It turned off every 10 seconds so needed to wave every 10 seconds. It freaked my youngest out as it went pitch black as no windows and she was not tall enough to signal the senor. It terms of rooms, it was great that they separated families from couples room. Very smart. 3.5 points Room First impression was good. Rooms were spacious. Floor was a bit dirty. We also had little ants on the table every day although wasnt a big issue. We had garden view which was basically no view but it was very quiet. Our feet were dirty when walking around the appt so we kept our flip flips on. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were narrow but comfortable. As we had 5 people, the sofa bed was uncomfortable. Aircon didnt work in one of the rooms but was fixed as soon as we mentioned it. Bathroom only has handsoap and shower gel so bring shampoo and conditioner. Hair dryer is ok strong as I forgot to bring mine. 3.5 points Services In general, the service has been good. Staff are friendly and polite. Most staff have been attentative. We had a slight issue at checkin with not very comprehensive instructions to get to room. We got there eventually as the family appartments were outside. I think it would help to have a proper map rather than a small map. There was also a point when i waited to be served but the men at reception were too busy talking and laughing that it took them a while to realise that I was waiting to be served even when I said "excuse me" but they were just in their own world. 3.5 points. Food and drinks Food was generally good. Had a variation of buffet where, for dinner and lunch, we had 2 days of food that included quality seafood ( a combk of prawns, mussels, razor clams, sushi and smoked salmon). Kids food was good and varied with plenty of desserts to choose from and whippy machine. Breakfast was plentiful with a variation of cooked and european breakfast. Fruits were great. For the price point, I think it was value for money. Queues were not that long considering peak season. Drinks were a bit dull. All inc cocktails were rubbish so I kept to wine and gin/tonics which were good enough for me. Kids had slush and their drinks. Kids mocktails were uber sweet. 4.5 points Pool It looked that they had 3 pools but its actually 2 and a splash area. The large pool was warm but i had to tip toe and I am 5ft 5. Fortunately, my 2 kids were strong swimmers and my youngest had arm bands. On one of the days, the pool water was more shallow allowing my kids to tip toe which was great for ball games etc. I would recommend that this is done every morning for kids morning swim. Child pool with slide was even deeper so more of a dive pool. Sun beds were taken generally gone but we saved our spot early know that everyone else did so wasnt too much of issue. Aqua gym was fun and entertaining. 4 points Activities Scheduled activities. They had a screen highlighting when the sessions were. It would be great if they also showed the sessions on TV in room. We didnt do any activities but the fact that staff members would alert pool bathers regularly, I give 5 points. Gym was large and clean. Spa We were too busy absorbing the sun so didnt use the spa. I am gutted to be honest. I heard great reviews and there was even a buy 1 get one for spa. It could be because it was extremely hot so guests were making the most of the sun rather than using the faclities. Prices for massages are decent. (Cannot give points as didnt use) Location Free bus ride to a larger town. 6 min walk to a closer shopping mall boasting 250 shops but actually the variety was limited to tourist shops, similar beach wear shops, similar shoe shops, supermarket and pharmacy. Lots of restaurants. Its great for a wander but can get repetitive after 3 days. Beach was beautiful. 5 points Evening entertainment Mini disco was great for under 6. Staff were entertaining and engaging. When it came to live music, no one danced over the 5 evenings. It would be great to have some staff members dancing to encourage others to join. First night, the singer was inclusive singing a range of music from 80s to 2023. Other singers were more 1980s the whole way....a bit like karaoke music. 4 points Overall 4+5+5+4+4.5+3.5+3.5+3.5=33/8=4.1 points Would we return? Yes we would.

“Clean hotel, friendly staff”

We stayed at the hotel in Easter holidays. Overall the hotel is very good. It is well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pools - I was worried having read reviews and we were travelling with a 5 yr old. Both pools are very deep. The main pool I could touch the floor (I’m 5ft4) on my toes but the pool near the kids section where the slide goes into I couldn’t touch at all. However despite both being very deep my little one was fine with arm bands on and it didn’t ruin our stay just had to be super careful especially when she wanted the arm bands off! The splash park was ok for her in small bursts between pools when we wanted a rest but she did get bored of it so def aimed at younger children. Entertainment- Little one loved the mini disco and once it’s over they always do some activities with the children such as face painting, balloon models and just generally amusing them. The team were great but a special shout out to Pablo who was amazing and could just do everything! Very talented! Food- For me this is the only thing that could do with some improvement. Whilst what is on offer isn’t horrible it’s just very average buffet restaurant food. All a bit random, not overly hot and the labelling is very poor so majority of the time had no idea what things were. Still have no idea where to get the ice cream that’s included in AI so ended up buying ice creams most days. Cocktails were ok but pre mixed so very watery but occasionally the bar staff would put their own spin on them which was much better Small shopping centre about a 10 min walk away with shops and restaurants. Taxis arrive very quickly to the hotel and do not cost much. We went into maspalomas, camel safari and Palmitos park and all are within 20/25 mins of the hotel Overall a very good hotel but wouldn’t do AI

“No way it’s rated 4.5 stars! More like 3.5! Could be so much better! Food and entertainment awful!”

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to do so this time. We were very disappointed with this hotel. Having 4.5 stars on trip advisor and good reviews I thought it would be so much better. Room - we stayed in the 2 bed family rooms. Overall the rooms are a great size and gave everyone space. Air con was practically non existent. We tried to leave it on whilst we were out but the cleaner kept taking they key card out (obviously to save electricity) but in 35degrees it needed to be on. But it never got cold in the room so was difficult to dry hair without melting. On arrival the bathroom floor was covered in hairs but for the rest of the time the cleaners did a great job. Food - Im sorry but it wasn’t great. Young teens lived off chips and bread. Pizza was horrible,(pre packed rubbish), burgers were pink so kids wouldn’t try them and hot dogs also looked unappetising. The nuggets looked like cardboard too. My daughter is fussy so was hoping she would get some plain chicken on the grill but it was always Pork, beef and fish. It was always a mish mash selection too. You couldn’t really put a meal together unless you were having meat and salad. Pasta was like slop which my son tried every night as he was sick of chips (which were also tasteless frozen ones) ! Nothing was named properly so you didn’t know what it was and just hoped for the best. Desserts are the same every night. Little frozen pre-made DRY cakes and ice cream. We ended up going out 3 nights to try and get a decent meal. Pools - were deep but we could all the touch the floor. Lots of sun beds available. There was the odd family who put theirs down early then go out for the day and come back around 4/5pm which really annoyed me, as not fair on others who actually wanted to spend time round the pool. There were signs saying the staff would take the towels off but they never did. Lots of women had their boobs out! Now on the beach I get it but around a family pool I felt awkward for my teenage son. He said it was embarrassing but we had a few laughs about it. But they could have gone to the adult pool as none of them had kids. Pool bar was ok- beers, wine, sangria, soft drinks and slushes for kids. Cocktails were terrible. Free ice cream tubs were gritty and inedible as they obviously melted and then refreezed. Lots of people were taking them back so ended up having to buy some daily as funnily enough they didn’t seem like they had melted and refreezed. Entertainment - One word Rubbish! We never went to the kids disco but got to the salon around 8.30ish. Same woman singing until 9.15 every night then the main act came on but they very amateur. Same 2 dancers a couple of nights, with there boobs out in underwear and a couple of dodgy singers. The salon has massive Columns in the middle so you couldn’t see the stage. Only a few seats get to see the stage due to the layout so you had to watch the act on screens which were lagging behind. Location - not much around. Little shopping centre 10 min walk away with hardly anything in it so that was disappointing. People were moaning about the beach in San Augustin saying it only had one restaurant so we got taxis to playa del Inglés for the beach and for restaurants. We wished we stayed nearer there just as more around and more going on in the evening if you wanted a walk. This hotel could be so much better! The staff are so nice, the hotel itself and grounds are very clean but food and entertainment let it down for us! I think we’ve been spoiled in the hotels we have been too as we travel a lot. €3800 for 4 of us is cheap so I get it’s what you pay for but it’s still a lot of money! When we look at hotels we always go for hotels that have minimum 4.5 stars on here and we are so surprised it’s rated that highly. I wouldn’t even say we are a fussy family and I always roll my eyes when reading the reviews on the one person that has to moan about everything but sadly on this occasion that’s me!
