Well I promised myself I would post lots of photos when I got back as before we came we couldn't find that much info on the LIVVO Costa Hotel.... we found lots on the other two hotels in the complex, Valle and Lago but not for Costa. The reviews/ info we did find were not always complimentary and we were concerned we had made a mistake. We discussed cancelling a few times but I am so glad we didn't! We had an amazing Easter holiday here. This is my review! Where do I start?!! We had a thoroughly lovely stay at LIVVO Costa Taurito and after some of the reviews we read prior to coming, I nearly cancelled. I am so glad we didn't! We arrived at around 7pm. Check in was quick, friendly and helpful. We found that the staff here can't do enough for you. They gave us all deluxe garden rooms on the bottom floor as my mum has mobility issues so we were all next to each other. 3 rooms all in a row. Except for my sister in law who added on to the holiday at a later date. She had a beautiful double room but was on the second floor and was quite a while away from us and just before we came she broke her foot and was in a boot. She mentioned this to reception and they moved her next to us the following day, no problems. We noticed that there are quite a few different room types at the Costa Taurito all ranging in size and appearance. We were lucky to get 4 Beautiful rooms - they were massive and spotlessly clean. Some reviews describe the rooms as "old" and "dated" - now whilst I agree that they aren't the most modernly decorated rooms I've ever had on holidays, to call them old and dated implies that they need refreshing / are run down, and this isn't the case - they are kept fantastically well maintained and in perfect condition. Well the ones we had were anyway. Everything was clean and freshly painted. Maybe "old fashioned / or traditionally decorated" would be better descriptions? Anyway, I've uploaded photos and videos, so you decide! We loved our rooms. I had room 120 and I'm really going to miss that gorgeous little garden apartment. The bathrooms are lovely with powerful showers. Complimentary toiletries and hairdryers are available. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the room is actually fantastic & they refill it regularly, smells fantastic and great for a freshen up after the flight! The hair dryers are powerful and modern and dried my hair in seconds! After we checked in, we went straight in to dinner, which I was the most apprehensive about based on previous reviews. But phew, there was nothing to worry about! It was probably a smaller selection of food than we are used to on all inclusive, but it's only a small hotel. Everything there was, was freshly cooked and nicely presented. Drinks were typical all inclusive but were some of the best range we have ever had on all inclusive. The larger on tap is Amstel and the soft drinks are branded Pepsi, Pepsi Max and 7up as well as Shwepps Lemon and Orange. It was lovely to have a gin with Limon in the sunshine. Cocktails are available - there are 3 all inclusive cocktails available daily plus sangria - and 2/3 mocktails. You can order others at a reasonable price. Cocktails at the piano bar (inside) and the pool bar (outside) are freshly made infront of you. Which we loved - as a lot of the all inclusive holidays we have been on, the cocktails have been the pre made or the machine type that are too sickly. These are made fresh infront of you by the bar staff with the required liquors. Cocktails at the central plaza bar and at the other 2 hotels Valle and Lago are pre made / machine type. Food - breakfast was always lovely, a wide choice of omelettes, pancakes freshly cooked, churros, toasties, cooked breakfast, Cereals, croissants, pastries, meats and cheeses. Juices coffees and teas are also served. Dinner - a small but lovely variety of freshly cooked meats, fish and other dishes. The standard fare of chips, pizza and pasta at every meal and chicken nuggets too. But lots of local dishes to try. Always fresh salads, cut meats and breads. A variety of desserts, fruit and ice cream for afters. The fish and garlic potatoes were delicious. There is a live cooking station that is always doing 2/3 fresh fish or meat dishes. There are 3 theme nights a week - Monday Italian, Wednesday Mexican and Saturday traditional Canarian foods. In the restaurant and at the piano and pool bars, there was a wide selection of flavoured teas which were delicious. (I still had to buy my own Tetley teabags from the shop on site though!) In the restaurant the Ice cream was delicious! We bought Carte Dior on a trip to Puerto de Mogan Marina and on a day at Puerto Rico beach - at €4 a pop and it was delicious - but the ice cream they serve in the restaurant was equally as delicious and free with your all inclusive! Try the Toffee/caramel and the Strawberry ripple like a sorbet - absolutely delicious! I can imagine they go through ALOT of ice cream when it's as nice as that! Best coffees are from the piano bar and pool bar - ask for a proper coffee glass. (Photo provided) We didn't find the coffee out of the machines in the dining room very good. Snacks were served through the day in the pool bar - chips, toasties, burgers and hot dogs. Try a hot dog with crispy onions by the pool - they are delicious! The pool bar snacks are freshly cooked snacks as you order, so you have to wait a short while as they cook them for you but then they ring a bell to indicate your order is ready. In the Valle & Lago hotels, they're buffet style and laid out all afternoon. We preferred the Costa way of doing pool snacks - which I assume they can do because of a smaller amount of guests - as it meant the food wasn't left out to the flies or in the heat. There is also a Vending machine full of snacks (kinder bars, twix, twirl, cookies, bottled water, bottled coke etc) at reasonable prices - average €1.50 - to purchase outside of food times / if you fancied a choccie bar with a cuppa before bed, like I did a few times. We couldn't fault it. We hardly ever went for snacks to be honest because the meals were so delicious. We can't understand the reviews that say they didn't like the food - yes, there was a small choice but everything was fresh and delicious. We only ate out once or twice and that was just to be able to try the lovely choice of restaurants in the resort not because we had to. The food is plentiful and delicious - and the chefs work hard to please every nationality. They certainly pleased us. The Pool is lovely and does the trick to cool off. There are plenty of sun beds by the pool and we never struggled to get one. We spent 4 days out of 7 down the waterpark. Returning for lunch and then either going back down or moving to the poolside. The aqua park is an incredible extra for this hotel! It's fabulous. It's a bit annoying that you have to pay for parasols at the waterpark (€4) and that you can't use your all inclusive there... but it's not so annoying that it will spoil your holiday! We just took Coca Cola cans from the supermarket into the park with us for drinks €0.88!) and a bottle of wine! We bought the odd pizza etc in the water park (reasonable at €8 for a whole pizza) but mostly stayed there 10am-2pm and then strolled back up to the hotel for a late lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool. The supermarket opposite the entrance to the waterpark also sells pre-made bagels, baguettes, sandwiches etc all at really reasonable prices. Saying that, the prices in the water park for food and drinks are reasonable too. The water in the water park IS salt water but we knew this before coming. We didn't find it "stingy" and I'm really sensitive, but we did try to shower off every time we got out. Location- On its own beach in an area called Taurito. This resort was perfect for us. It had everything you needed within a compact resort. We visited Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogan when we were here. I loved Puerto de Mogan - absolutely stunning and a must visit. But I definitely preferred Taurito over Puerto Rico. There are a few lovely cocktail bars at the end of the hotel complex and at the start of the beach. Cocktails are the best and they are only between €5/€6! We thought Puerto Rico would be cheaper as a bigger resort, but we found the prices in Taurito very reasonable. This was for food, drinks and shopping! We bought loads from the shops in the Taurito complex - and prices were cheaper than the market! If you want souvenirs and bags - Make sure you try these shops first before venturing out as we found them cheaper. If you get fed up of the Spanish lager / all inclusive - A pint of Stella is only €3.50 too in the bars along the beach front. Check out was equally as stress free and amazing. The staff really are a credit at this hotel. We had a late flight (22.10pm) arranged so we arranged to keep one of the garden rooms on until 6pm. This was at an additional cost of €40 but it meant we could have an afternoon siesta and freshen up with a shower before heading for the airport. We were able to stay on site and use all the facilities, have lunch and our all inclusive until we left for the airport at 6.30pm. If you don't want to pay any extra for a late check out room, there is a locked luggage room that you can leave all your things in so that you can enjoy your last full day by the pool and you can pre-book a courtesy room to shower and change ready for your journey home. Positives: *Beautiful hotel with lovely gardens *Aqua park is amazing *Compact resort with everything we needed - beach, aqua park, pool, cocktail bars, shops, tennis courts, mini golf...... *Comfy beds *Clean rooms *Shows - karaoke, bingo, music quizzes - a bit repetitive but at least they offer entertainment and the staff work hard *Beautiful location and not too far to anything *Reliable and cheap public transport to other parts of the island *Plenty of sun beds *Helpful welcoming staff *Books to lend to read at reception *Background Music in piano bar and by pool after we asked for it *Everything spotlessly clean *Food is tasty and freshly prepared *Kitchen and food area are spotless Those reviews saying food is "recycled" between lunch and evening meal are clearly lying as we often went in late for lunch and watched them throw whatever was left away. Negatives: *Paper cups in the day and all the time down by the plaza central entertainment - but we solved this by bringing our own which staff were only too happy to fill for us. *Food lovely but repetitive / not a massive choice *Had to pay for parasols in the waterpark €4 - which were the same ones as around the Costa hotel pool. We just didn't think you should have to pay for shade! We are a ginger family and def needed that shade! ((Same parasols that are around the hotel pool, we should have taken one down with us!)) *The entertainment wasn't really for us - it was a bit quiet at night for those who don't want to go down the central entertainment Should / could have other options in the hotel piano bar. We spent 2 nights down the central entertainment - not really for us as we were 15 years + upto 68 in age. 2 nights down the front cocktail bars and grills on the beach - a fab night out And the rest in the hotel piano bar, playing cards and chatting *If I'm being picky, some snacks like nuts and crisps to have with evening drinks would be amazing. But we couldn't really fault anything major at Costa Taurito and we will definitely be back again soon! We had a thoroughly lovely stay ☀️ Thank you LIVVO Costa Taurito.

States r in this hotel quite good price but the rooms are not as in paint on the pictures! Very run down room so is everything in the hotel as in facility wise. Stuff in the restaurant are very friendly so are the cleaners. Food is ok but it would be good to do more on varieties rather then lock ... more

I read reviews after I'd booked, and I did try and change the hotel, but I was too late. The hotel itself is nice, clean, and saff are friendly. The food is not great you will find something but not a lot, breakfast the cheese and ham toastys are good, there is food at the pool side bar but you ... more

The food is not great you will find something but not a lot, breakfast the cheese and ham toastys are good, there is food at the pool side bar but you need to ask for it. You're better to have lunch there than go into the restaurant. Main meal the potatoes of any kind are good and the veg, that's about all I can say and if you're having chicken make sure it's cooked properly twice my son had it parts raw The water park is really good and someone said that if you pay an extra 7€ you can get all-inclusive, including the waterpark. Lots of shops and stuff for the kids to do mini golf was good and bowling later on. The beach was nice with shops and restaurants not expensive and the food was good. At the end of the day a holiday is what you make it and the weather is gorgeous
