Check in - we arrived late at 10pm but was a prompt check in which we were great full for, with two young children. They also provided a “picnic” of sandwiches and a big bag of fruit 🍉 Rooms - are comfortable and seemed to have been renovated recently. Bathrooms need to be next on the list thought. The rooms higher up have a balcony with table and chairs and two sun loungers. The lower down ones have a comfortable outdoor sofa also. I’d go for the upper floors for privacy and the lower ones are directly on the walkway. We had room 513 and was great. Food/Drink - decent for all inclusive. Food was always varied and the BBQ nights are 👌. We’ve been to Caribbean all inclusive that was worse! Drinks always available and are decent. Pool area - it’s what you see in the pictures quite small but exactly what you need. A smaller shallow one for kids, both are ‘cool’ but not freezing. Kids room - area could do with some more things to occupy them. Daytime entertainment was non existent, apart from Liz the sun care advisor and a 10 minute fashion show to sell clothes. Park - my biggest gripe. The flooring was uneven and the slide unusable for anyone under 5/6 due to the steep ladder. My opinion is that the hotel should invest in a better park for kids of all ages, and sort the flooring out please, we had many accidents! In summary this hotel is great value and very comfortable for a 7 day all inclusive holiday, thanks Altamadores 😀🏖️💪✈️🇪🇸🛫

“Very quiet and relaxing holiday”

Can't complement the staff enough. From the wonderful reception staff through to the excellent restaurant staff.Our room was lovely clean and very spacious with excellent terrace furniture. Food was good but breakfast selection was excellent. I hope to return next Christmas.

I was pleased with my week here. The apartment was large nd bright with good furniture incl loungers and sofa on the terrace. Very clean kitchen and bathroom. Cleaners came most days. Beach towels supplied. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the adults only terrace. I walked downhill to the beautiful Amadores beach and normally got the free hotel bus back. The bus also went into the centre of Puerto Rico which did not appeal to me personally although I did visit the shops. Meals were good with plenty of variety. It seemed to me that everything was replenished quickly and reasonably warm. I liked especially the fish and the bbq evenings. There were plenty of vegetables and good salads also. Papaya, melon and kiwi plus apples, bananas, pears were all fresh. Some out if season fruit was frozen or canned. The juice was poor but coffee ok. The wine was perfect. Many people seemed to enjoy the local spirits and made Irish or Brandy coffees. Water, mixers, ice and lemon were always on hand. The vibe was very relaxed with mostly older couples and young families. I heard nothing loud or inappropriate and the hard working staff were polite and good humoured also. The full entertainment programme had not started (no bingo!). Some of the evening entertainment incl Whitney Houston tribute and dance acts were worth a look. Enjoyed massage on site c.€60. Perhaps the massage area would be more appropriately located away from the children's splash are so it would be quieter. Good value for what I paid and would recommend for those who like a quiet, peaceful holiday reasonably close to Amadores.
