Having recently returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel, cannot fault it in any shape or form. The location is amazing, the hotel is stunning, the staff were all so very friendly and extremely helpful. The choice of food in the restaurant was excellent, the room was fabulous and the view looking over the bay was something else. The outside bar and pool area, perfect place to relax in such comfortable chairs. Everyone is different, and everyone has their own opinion, but for us, this Hotel was one of the best we have ever stayed at. We will certainly be back in the not to distant future.

Finally arrived back home following a wonderful 8 night stay (1715). A quick check in at Reception and during our one hour wait for the room to be ready, we looked around. This hotel is incredibly clean, very modern with fabulous touches following the refurbishment. The contemporary design of the Sunset Chillout is stunning. Service in the bar areas is quick and attentive. In respecting hotels across the world, I try to ensure that I speak as much of the host language as much as possible. Staff were ALWAYS incredibly friendly and helpful. The room standard again was excellent, incredibly clean and with daily servicing. The Restaurant . . . . My partner is the best judge in this aspect. In this hotel, she was always able to find the perfect breakfast, lunch and dinner. One can watch a Chef prepare your meal at Lunch and Dinner . . . The “Build Your Own Burger” for example. Summary - A fabulous stay !! TOP TIP - Sit outside the Sunset Chill Out Bar with your favourite cocktail and watch the Sunset in true Mambo style !

“Never go back!”

Like several reviewers we had stayed at this former Hawaii hotel, now NYX, for many years. The hotel was lovely as it was with neutral decor but the refurbishment is dark and a weird taste - see photo of the chair! It’s a con stating it’s been refurbished as the bathrooms are still the original since built - dated and in need of TLC! The new floor tiles around the pool are a safety hazard as slippy with wet feet. Some of the new staff need training in customer care, but the original staff are as lovely as ever. On the positive side, the food was excellent as ever as was the outdoor dining. Hope the new owners don’t last long and the hotel will return to its former glory!

First impressions of you look from afar are great, it’s when you get closer and this is a hotel trying to appeal to the higher end of the market with a cheap refurb. Negatives: * Offer snacks and drinks at reception or within the lobby area, especially for late arrivals. * Explain the facilities available and where to access them. * Add a welcome leaflet in the room with key information such as meal options for non all inclusive guests. * Offer recommendations for food and general local amenities. * 1 bottle of water complimentary, put it in the fridge or have 2 one chilled and one not. * Fix the aircon, on the lowest setting the rooms are still warm and uncomfortable. * One staff member behind the day bar was very rude when it came to learning I was a staff member of Leonardo Hotels, he did not want to add the staff discount. He also put my food order through wrong, I ordered a cheeseburger but he bought a chicken burger out. Not sure if he even applied the discount as it was €12. I noticed he was rude to a few customers during his shift - 17/10/23. * Couldn’t ask about late check out until the morning of check out. Offers should be purchasable at booking. Would also promote direct booking. * Style of the rooms are an attempt to modernise but unfortunately you can tell this was done at a low budget. The rooms are what would class as standard hotel rooms. * Staff could benefit from some customer service training to provide a more comfortable stay. Positives: * Location is great for access to the beach. Special gate for access to and from beach from day bar area. * Outdoor areas are perfect for sunlight all day. * Two bars one for day and one for night - Changed at 7pm. * Food available at the bar for non AI. * Good selection of drinks. * Checking in and out was quick. * Good size pools which match size of hotel. * Cleanliness of the hotel was to a high standard.
