Just back from the Corona Mar and it was wonderful. Apartments had everything you need in them. Cleaned every day by friendly cleaners always with a smile. These apartments are situated 5 mins from all the amenities on the strip. Downside was the stairs so not really suitable for people with walking disabilities, but there is a back entrance to them. We will be back and have already booked a week in June.

Just back from our first visit to Corona Mar Apartments. It's in a fantastic location, close to the beach and strip, with an added bonus of the Spar shop next-door. We had an apartment close to the pool, could not of asked for any better. Apartment was cleaned daily and both the cleaners and reception staff are friendly and very helpful. No sunbed wars and the sun was on the pool all day long with fantastic views, it was lovely and relaxing. I have just signed up for the loyalty bonus scheme and I look forward to booking for October. If you're looking for a place to stay in Puerto del Carmen that is away from the busy promenade but still in the centre of the town, the Corona Mar Apartments are perfect. The apartments are tucked away down a side road, but are easily identified by the green steps leading up to the rooms. One thing to bear in mind is that there are a lot of steps leading up to reception and the rooms, so lifting luggage up and down can be difficult, however, it is manageable. The reception is usually open from 9am to 4pm, and it is within these hours that you will be able to access your room's allocated safe. You can only access the safe if the hotel staff are in reception. There is a 10€ deposit for the safe that is given back to you when you return the safe key. The premises is secured overnight with a gate that locks at 4pm. There is a button to push to open the gate when you are leaving, and you will need to enter a code on the pad beside the gate when returning. This information should be given to you upon arrival. If you arrive after 4pm, there will be an envelope attached to the wall outside reception with your name on. The pool area has limited sunbeds, but there are usually one or two free just beyond this area. The entire pool area gets the sun, and there is no shade, and so adding umbrellas would make the area perfect. The pool area is very peaceful and private, and is absolutely spotless. The rooms are also extremely clean. In the room I stayed in, there was a plug socket hanging off of the wall behind the sofa - luckily there were other sockets to safe to use instead. The kitchen area is perfectly functional. I came back to my room a few times to find that the cleaner had washed up for us which was really kind and unexpected! She even noticed we had bought a wine glass after not being able to find one in the room, and she left a cabinet door open to point out where they were hiding. The beds are really comfortable and are able to be separated to create two twin beds, rather than one double. The lighting in the bedroom is quite dim, but the lighting in the bathroom is bright enough to make up for it. There was no floor-length mirror which would have been a nice touch. Overall the room was very nice and just right for two people for a five night stay.
