This is a wonderful hotel with a fantastic team. They made such a beautiful effort to help me celebrate my best friend's birthday! The highlight was Cyril's joyful breakfast rendition of Happy Birthday a la Frank Sinatra! The grounds are beautiful and the room was good if a little cosy :) Breakfast was great, and the pool was awesome, and just a stone's throw from the beach. But the staff really made it for me, I highly recommend staying here. Thank you Team Bahia!

“Excellent, authentic and pretty.”

We loved this hotel. It’s not the poshest places we’ve stayed but it is the prettiest, most interesting, most authentic place we have stayed. The breakfast was excellent. Lovely choice in an elegant dining room. The food at the downstairs bar and restaurant by the pool was incredible. We ate at some highly rated local restaurants during our stay but the restaurant food downstairs in the hotel was by far the best. We fell in love with the glistening tiles in the pool and the gardening surrounding the pool area were beautiful and varied. The hotel has an authentic, old fashioned feel (not your bland, shiny, modern place). We loved the huge variety of artwork around the hotel. So many pieces we discovered something new every time we turned a corner. We loved the wooden double doors to our balcony. The only negative was the shower head not being the best. We will definitely be back and would recommend this to anyone. Thank you.

We had a great time at this lovely hotel. Relaxed and interesting décor, perfectly rustic and comfortable, our rooms were fairly basic but very clean. We had 2 rooms – both with balconies. One was overlooking a service entrance and car park, the other though, was wonderful with a massive balcony overlooking the front of the hotel, with beautiful Wisteria climbing up the wall. Lots of areas inside and out for relaxing and a beautiful garden/pool area. Nice and quiet area, just off the main strip. The hotel was mainly German visitors, (in fact there was only 1 other English family there while we were there. I agree with a previous reviewer – it did feel a bit cliquey) and it was nice and quiet around the pool most of the time, (although weather not brilliant yet) albeit with lots of people coming and going. Food was good – breakfast was a buffet, not full English but it more than made up for it with all the choices for continental, and there were eggs, sausage and bacon if you want to pig out every day. Dinner was very good, a choice of starters and mains every day, including one Vegetarian dish. Not massive amounts of food but perfectly good portions, and tasty. Then there’s the desert buffet, a feast – mousses, abundance of fruit, cakes and cheeses. The only problem I had with this hotel was the lack of evening drink – we were half board so expected at least some water with our meal. We ordered water for our two boys, thinking that it was filtered tap water or similar (it came in bottles that looked re-used) only to find out later in the week that we would have to pay 2.5 Euros per small bottle. Which added up to quite a lot of money. Then we took our own water into the dining room, which didn’t go down too well and resulted in 2 of the waiting staff sniggering in the corner at us. So it caused lots of hilarity when we then asked for a bottle of sparkling water. This left us with a rather negative view of the hotel, despite all the rest, which is a shame. We got the bus to Palma on one of the days, saw the cathedral and wandered the surrounding streets – the market near the cathedral is wonderful. We also took the bus to the port of Andratz which was definitely worth a trip. Staff were mostly friendly except the 2 waiting staff mentioned above, and one of the reception staff, who barely cracked a smile whenever we spoke to her. Some negatives: The pool area is at the front of the hotel, which is near the road, not massively busy but can be quite loud. The outdoor pool was very cold so no one used it. It was end of March so I guess it had not had a chance to warm up yet. There is a nice indoor (small) pool, with sauna, which kept our boys busy for much of the week. No tea making facilities in the rooms Air con didn’t appear to work but didn’t affect us too much as weather was not scorching at end of March. Shower inadequate but there was plenty of hot water for a bath The water situation, as described above – probably us being naïve but it would be good if we were told of this earlier in the week just so that we were aware.

“Great relaxing place”

My friend and I were really looking forward to this holiday and we were not disappointed. The hotel I’ve read as “old fashioned” I’d say it was quaint. Breakfast -very good Room- great and lots of cupboards, small balcony Cleanliness - spot on Bar and restaurant- again very good Pool and pool area/ gardens- clean and well kept. Staff - helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our 1st stay at the Bahia, hopefully it will not be the last. Great location as well near beach and promenade and local bus will take you into the Capital Palma about 40 mins. Great holiday ( sun shone too 🌞)
