We absolutely love this hotel. The gardens alone are worth a lengthy visit. The wonderful views from our balcony reach from the majestic Teide to the waves crashing in far below. There are several communal terraces offering similar splendid views. The pool is warm. There are plenty of comfortable places to sit in full sun or shade. Never had any problems with people reserving sunbeds, indeed this is much discouraged. The food is good both as half-board option or breakfast and a la carte which we prefer. This is a quiet place aimed at a more mature clientele looking for a relaxing, civilized holiday with further adults in beautiful surroundings. Occasionally people do bring children though I wouldn't recommend. There are no special facilities for kids (no kids pool or shallow end, no play areas). Lively young families or raucous party lovers are better catered for elsewhere. There are some lovely places to dine in Puerto de la Cruz and it's an easy walk down into city. Steep! Taxis are metered, not expensive and plentiful. Couple of very pleasant garden/view bars in immediate vicinity and the hotel has a lovely cocktail bar and good restaurant with lots of outdoor seating. Quiet entertainment is provided a couple of times a week. Breakfast looking onto the gardens and pool is a daily highlight. Rooms (private and public) are exceptionally well furnished and comfortable. There's a courtesy water dispenser and drink/snack machines for those munchies in the night....you never know! Spotlessly clean (whole hotel) and spacious guest rooms. Excellent storage space. Well furnished private balconies. Should you have specific requirements ask. There's an efficient laundry service with fair prices. Pool towels are provided. Limited onsite parking, very useful for mobility challenged. The staff all very helpful and friendly. Excellent language skills. They are also amongst the best trained we have met in over 6 decades of travel. This is a privately owned and family managed hotel. Hands on. Yes....and it shows in all the daily small courtesies, the exceptional attention to detail, the caring attitude of each and every member of the team. Little wonder that this utterly delightful garden hotel has been the recipient of so many travel awards. Thank you Family Talg and the whole Tigaiga Team. We love it here.... please don't change a single thing.

A family owned & run hotel in an enviable location surrounded by beautiful gardens. Happy caring staff, good food, excellent, thoughtfully designed bedrooms and public areas means this is not your usual package holiday hotel by any means.

Set in beautiful botanic grounds across from a delightful park and away from the busyness of the town makes this a very relaxing holiday experience. The hotel is super clean, the staff very friendly and amenable and the choice at breakfast amazing. We particularly appreciate your attention to be as sustainable as possible. A traditional, family run lovely hotel set in a peaceful location in beautiful gardens, with great views over Puetro de la Cruz and the sea in the distance. Our room was spacious, with a nice balcony, sparkling clean and feather pillows available when requested. We stayed half board and breakfast and dinner was all very good and varied. The staff are a credit, very professional and friendly, and there is a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at the hotel. Highly recommended.
