Super Hotel , wonderful staff that can’t do enough for you , it borders on the embarrassing that they are so obliging… we’ve stayed here many times and we are never disappointed…. Had trouble getting an ice bucket / wine cooler as I don’t think they know what they are ? Even still top marks

Lately, my friends and I went to have a beach BBQ dinner at Renaissance Koh Samui, The food was very good even though it small buffet but still the quality and taste were wonderful :) with fire show and music. Thanks to all staff on the beach who well took care of us. Well done team!

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days. On the whole our stay was great; you can count on the hospitality in Thailand. Location Firstly be aware that the hotel is not located near Lamai town or central Samui - it’s about a 10-15 min walk to a main road on which you can find some restaurants and a convenience store. Can’t comment on the quality or recommend as we didn’t frequent any of these. The road does not have a sidewalk and isn’t lit at night so we didn’t risk walking down it. From the main road, according to Google maps, it’s about a 30 minute walk to Lamai night market. During our stay it was too hot (even when the sun went down) to walk into town. We got a hotel taxi into town for 250 Baht and a return taxi (this varies in price from 200-300 Baht). Taxis can be easily found at the taxi stand outside the McDonald’s. The property has a lot of stairs throughout and whilst there are ramps in several areas it might be difficult for those requiring step-free access to get around the property (best to contact the hotel directly if you have specific needs). The property is very quiet, which suited us just fine. Early morning you can hear a chorus of birds and there is relative silence in the evening/night. Room We had a beautiful room twin room overlooking the sea with a balcony that we made the most of. Would’ve been nice to have lounge chairs or stools so we could stretch out our legs, especially as the immense heat meant that we spent most of our day on the balcony. Having blinds fitted on either side would also help keep the sun at bay. Housekeeping is fantastic and there’s also a turndown service. If you are a gold card member you should be entitled to an upgrade subject to availability - at this property that’s only possible if you’ve booked directly with them. We had booked through a third party so didn’t get the upgrade but that worked out in our favour on this occasion as we had a fabulous sea view from our balcony. Pool & Beach There were plenty of chairs by the main pool and on the beach and we didn’t have to get up early to save our seats. The umbrellas in both locations are situated in a heavy cement pedestal so impossible to move if you want shade. The beach is full of shells and there are rocks in the sea so water shoes are highly recommended - if you’ve not got a pair or have forgotten to bring yours you can purchase a decent pair at a very good price in Lamai at the store opposite the Bee Cafe. The water in the pool and sea are very warm - too warm for some guests who were complaining that it was not helpful when wanting to cool off. The beach is quite small and going for long walks on the beach just isn’t a possibility. Food The breakfast has a lot of options from freshly cut fruit to cereals and hot western and Thai food. Eggs, pancakes, crepes, and waffles are made to order. Fresh juices and juice mixes are also available upon request as are lattes (hot and cold). We ordered the following dishes from room service and all of them were exceptionally delicious: Pad Thai; Tom Yum Going; Pomelo Salad; Margarita Pizza. Live India, an Indian restaurant in Lamai - see photo for details - also offers exceptionally delicious dishes and portions are huge. Food is delivered across the island at no extra charge. The restaurant itself is also a great place to enjoy a beautifully cooked meal. Mr.Jeff’s is another place we frequented. Located in the Seafood Market Arcade (just opposite the McDonald’s), it’s the second last stall and offers bbq seafood. The couple running the place are extremely accommodating and will cook meals to your taste and request. Fresh coconuts and non-alcoholic cocktails are available on request. There are at least 3 7-eleven’s on the Main Street in Lamai. Massage The massages at the hotel are quite pricey (as expected) when compared to the offerings in town. We had a one-hour head, neck and shoulder massage for 300 Baht and a one-hour leg massage for 350 Baht at Plernalin Massage (opposite Perfect Nails). The venue is very clean and the ladies are very kind and have magic fingers. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you want wonderful customer service, a peaceful vacation and to be surrounded by lush greenery - you won’t be disappointed.

Short review of our return to Koh Samui .... This time we stayed in Renaissance Koh Samui, which is located near a small town called Lamai. From the beginning of our vacation we felt very welcomed by this hotel. All the hotel staffs are incredible friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of this hotel is outstanding. Which means inside our villa or the overall garden and beach area. This hotel have a very nice pool area which is connected to the hotel pool bar. Beside the pool they offer free fresh water and toys for kids to play ... just great. The gem 💎 of this hotel is the private beach ⛱️ White sand, calypso water, clean .... and and and .... amazing. The hotel provides kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for free ... we loved it ... We highly recommend this hotels for all traveller's 🥰❤️🥰
