Amazing stay at this hotel! 10th time too Thailand and the best holiday I’ve had here! I want to mention the staff at the hotel who where all great… However, Jame & Fluk who are part of the activities team where AMAZING! They both made our holiday a lot better with their hospitality and positive energy! I would come back to the hotel just to see these two guys again! Very good hotel (review after 2 weeks of stay). The biggest advantages: - beautiful design, beautiful garden and surroundings of the hotel buildings, full of greenery, trees and shade, everything beautifully arranged, planned, maintained, blooming, - the garden is full of birds singing in the morning and evening, - swimming pools around the hotel buildings, you can leave the room directly to the pool and jump into the water for a moment, - beautiful main swimming pool, also partially under shade of trees, interesting installations, sculptures that you can swim into, - close to the beach, from the main pool you can go to the beach very quickly in 1 minute, - a beautiful, sandy and clean beach, stretching for many kilometers, - free sun loungers on the beach, under shade trees and bar at the beach, - evening animations on set days of the week (dance shows, guitar concerts, dinners under the palm trees and in the hotel garden), - very good food!, many varied dishes, something for everyone, everything is fresh, tasty and delicious fresh fruits, - kids play-room with toys and kids-care, - very nice and helpful service in every possible place, starting from the ladies at the reception, through a very friendly Restaurant Manager, then friendly and nice waiters and bartenders, cleaning ladies, pool staff, very helpful, nice, polite and smiling, - the entire hotel is very well cleaned every day, well maintained and the greatest care is taken (Quality First). TO SUMMARY: 100% recommendable.

“Amazing if you book pool access”

We're currently staying the 2nd week in building 15 in a premier pool access room, having anticipated this for 7 years. It's everything we dreamed of, and the room is even better than on photos! Everything is clean, spacious and the bed is massive. The private pool is wonderful, we're normally beach people but here we prefer to stay on our own little terrace. Breakfast is wonderful, we couldn't think of anything that was missing here. Full 5 stars. The beach unfortunately is not very inviting. The hotel part, that is. The beach itself of course is gorgeous, but the hotel part looks like a 2** hotel's tbh. The sun loungers are not acceptable for a 5***** hotel! They're stacked next to each other like in a hen cage, no relaxation or privacy possible. Like the normal hotel rooms, in 3-5 story buildings. We were thinking of upgrading to a private pool villa but are so glad we didn't! They overlook the main pool with the bar that plays unbearably loud techno music the whole day, and your "private pool" is right out in the open for everyone to see. We were offered to upgrade to all inclusive upon arrival for a whopping 2200 baht pP per day, but again are glad we didn't, as it's apparently only valid in the main restaurant, and of course you get a cheap cocktail menu for AI as well. We're going to one of the countless beach restaurants whenever we feel like it, and so far only spend 30-40% per day of what AI would've cost us. Advice to the hotel: offer a good quality drinks package, for that nice night cap 😉 So our conclusion: We would always book this hotel again, but only with a pool access room in order to have privacy. They're absolutely wonderful and have exceeded our expectations.

“Nice Place But You Need Your Own Transport.”

This place is massive you almost need a push bike to get from one end to the other. The gardens are lovely, the rooms are clean and spacious with very comfortable beds and soft fluffy pillows. There are swimming pools along the base of the eleven accommodation units each with five floors of rooms. There is a large pool close to the beach end of the resort. The staff are all very friendly some speak very good English some not. The staff who work at reception need to speak very good English when dealing with English speaking guests. They need to be easily understood when explaining the workings of the resort and what is and is not included in the package purchased. Having traveled extensively I have found the best English speakers to be staff that are a guest first point of contact for the hotel/resort are at reception. There are three restaurants Pakarang being the main where breakfast, lunch and dinner can be had. The food is plentiful but, it's not the flavoursome food I've come to expect from staying at other resorts here in Thailand. The other restaurants are a Thai and an Italian. The Thai restaurant is ok, but a better meal for a LOT less money can be had outside the hotel. If the object of the management is to get their guest to eat elsewhere then they have achieved it. I did not try the Italian restaurant. If you have a special deal where you are able to have either lunch or dinner you don't also get to have a drink of your choice included in the deal. You do however are eligible to have a free daily cocktail at the Blue Bar up near reception. I would much prefer a drink with my meal thank you very much. The rooms often become invaded by mosquitoes. If you don't have a mozzy mat bug killer in your room ask for one, they work like a charm. The lagoon in the middle of the resort I'm sure is the breading ground for them. This lagoon needs to be cleaned and made to look as wonderful as the rest of the gardens. Also make sure you have the supplied water in glass bottles replaced every day. Do NOT drink water from the tap in the shower/toilet room. This is true for all resorts in Thailand as I'm sure you've been told. Would I come here again? No, the place is too far from the main centre of Khao Lak where most of the shops and restaurants are or even from Bang Niang Market.
