“Cheap, Friendly Hotel”

Yes, guests at New Patong Premier Resort have highlighted that: The Patong Premier Hotel does not give much of an impression on the outside, but actually, it is a gem. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean and there was a lovely relaxed aura about the place. My room on the ground floor opened out onto the pool area, so it was nice to sit there and people watch. The pool is quite small but, being overshadowed by trees, it does not get much sun and is almost always full of leaves and flowers. The restaurant offers up a decent, if limited, Western breakfast and their Thai food is really tasty, cooked to order. When I said I like my tom yam gong (Thai spicy shrimp soup) spicy, but not so hot to give me blisters the lady understood and I was given just the right degree of heat intensity, so I sweated but could taste and enjoy everything. The room was rather dark and basic, but this is not marketed as an upmarket property, so what it gives is good value for money.
