We had an amazing experience in the Outrigger Surin Beach. We stayed here for 3 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer but time did not allow. When we arrived, we realised we had mistakenly booked the wrong dates to stay. The staff at the front desk, Gun and Guide, were extremely helpful in taking care of a new booking for us and accommodated us with a lovely room. We availed of the spa, pool and gym facilities, and restaurant and room service during our stay. The quality and price of the food was excellent for Breakfast and dinner. There was a very good selection on the menu and a great selection of steak. Our room was very clean and spacious and overlooked the pool area which was a very nice relaxing area. All of the staff we had encountered were very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. In particular, we found Gun, Guide, and Juice to provide excellent customer service and go above and beyond. The security man outside, Suri, made our experience. He is a very enthusiastic and lovely man and looked after us coming in and out of the resort each day and night.

We stayed for 6 nights at the beginning of March in a superior pool view room on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was of a modern style and good quality but smaller than expected, it felt more like style over function. Storage in general was not adequate and we had to move things around and squeeze things in wherever we could. The hotel had 2 small pool areas for relaxing which were generally pretty quiet. This was just as well as there were not many sunbeds. We did enjoy afternoons in this area. Breakfast was good, it had everything you would expect. The most outstanding things about this hotel is the staff and customer service they provide. All staff have an excellent attitude towards their guests and cannot do enough for you. They seem genuinely pleased to help you and it really makes the experience feel special. We’d like to mention two members of the breakfast team, Koi and Juice, whose interactions with guests went above and beyond to ensure their guests enjoyed their breakfasts. A nice touch was a different health juice every morning. Koi remembered that my wife mentioned that she liked bananas and ensured that there was a banana drink for us on our last morning. It was much appreciated. The hotel does offer a restaurant with an adequate choice of food but we found prices fairly expensive and mostly ate out. There is a public beach across the road with a lovely man who will stop the traffic for you to cross. You can rent sunbeds with umbrellas and the hotel will provide you with towels. One thing we weren’t made aware of is that there is quite heavy construction work going on outside the front of the hotel. While the work does not directly affect the holiday it certainly isn’t conducive to the holiday experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this hotel purely because the resort was not what we expected. It feels a little run down which is completely the opposite of this great little hotel which is a real shame.
