Welcome to Sunwing Bangtao. When you arrive, you will come in to a nice and chilled reception with extremely nice staff, you feel welcome directly. After checking in you are going into the hotel area how will open more and more and ends up at the beach. When you take the last step in the hotel area the next step will be in the sand at the beach, now have you come to the paradise. During your stay you will first visit JR at the towel station and get your beach towels. He and his staff will give you a very good expression how it will be to stay at Sunving Bangtao. JR will not only give you the towels he will also help you every time you have a question about anything around the pool area. JR have been at Sunving Bangtao for a long time, and he knows a lot and speaks many languages so most of the gest will be help in an easy way. After sunbathing and swimming you will be hungry. Then you going to Piak’s kitchen and find really good Tai food and if you will even western food. In the restaurant you will find Mr Chaloey and his staff how will help you to get a nice evening with good food and excellent service. Unluckily there will always be people how will not follow the rules according to nonsmoking in the hotel area (there will be a pointed places to smoke if needed). During our stay I saw a couple how smoking in the pool area, but I only see 2 people in the staff how will have courage enough to tell them to stop smoking and that was JR and Chaloey. These two gentlemen should have a golden star from the manager because they stand up for the rules that has been decided. Guest how has been at Sunving Bangtao will remember a couple of things when they will be going home and that is the location of the hotel, direct on the very long and beautiful beach. They will also remember the very kind and welcoming staff at the hotel. Many in the staff have been there for many years and for me how will come back time after time and more guest then me how will come back time after time will return because of the nice staff how knows how sings should be done and how guest should be treated so they will come back and spread good recommendation for Sunving Bangtao, the best hotel and staff in Thailand 😊 And last and not least you will always remember the nice weather in Thailand. There will as always be something how could be better at the hotel. Today there is now area there you could sit and relaxing together with outer people in the evening with a drink or soda. The gym is not so good ventilated, it’s really warm in there. Sometime the rooms in not smelling so good, it’s smells little mold, I guess there are condensations in the vent channels how will smell. But over all, you will be very pleased when you leaves.

Generally I never get around to writing reviews but we had such a fantastic holiday at this hotel I felt compelled. We stayed here for 12 nights on a all inclusive basis, we have stayed on Bangtao Beach many times so we knew what to expect from the area but the Sunwing was so much more than we expected in the hotel. We expected the all inclusive option to be buffets and had therefore planned to eat out a lot but it turned out we hardly left the hotel for dinner. Both the lunch and the dinner you order from the menu and you could have all three courses for both if you wanted to. The food and the service in the restaurant was so high, there is plenty of choice for both the Thai and Western options. We have a 12 and 14 year old with us and they also loved the food. The restaurant is very well organised and the staff are amazing. They all work so hard and are so happy. There are so many pools scattered about, you can find one in shade, one with a little slide, one with a volleyball net and basketball nets. All the pool areas have plenty of beds you never struggle for a sunbed. The rooms were cleaned every day, the pool areas are kept clean, everything just works at this hotel. It's situated right on the beach front It's perfect for watching the sunset with a drink. The all inclusive menu for drinks includes everything you need really and there is entertainment some nights. Obviously my two children are too old for the kids club but I watched the animation team and they never stopped doing activities with the kids. All in all it was one of the best holidays we have had which is why we have booked to go back!! A big thank you to Markus the Guest Relations Manager, for helping us with our booking and also just being a general happy star around the hotel every day and helping everybody. Thank you to Lee and all the staff in the restaurant for really looking after us. Thanks to Suk and Goong and all the bar staff.

“Great family hotel with a couple of issues”

Really good hotel for families. Pro’s - it seems like all the rooms overlook the pools - we stayed in a standard studio room which was large with a day bed/sofa for our 6 year old son to sleep. - 4 x pools with 2 kids pools and 2 adult pools - breakfast was pretty good, standard fare. Really good hotel for families. Pro’s - it seems like all the rooms overlook the pools - we stayed in a standard studio room which was large with a day bed/sofa for our 6 year old son to sleep. - 4 x pools with 2 kids pools and 2 adult pools - breakfast was pretty good, standard fare. Cons - kids club is not staffed, so you have to be supervising your kids there. To me that defeats the purpose of having a kids club. - they have an OTT militant policy on beach towels. You get a beach towel card that you have to redeem for a very average brown beach towel. If not returned they charge 800thb (we were not told this on check in ) The towel booth doesn’t open until 10am . Our cards were stolen from our pool chair whilst we were in the pool waiting for the towel booth to open. We reported to reception who threatened to charge us unless we found them. We pushed them on this and they relented to what is a very poor policy. Totally understand their might be some morons who steal beach towels but most don’t and if your cards are stolen, then don’t treat your customers like they are the criminals!

On site laundry with 5 washers and 3 dryers On-site kids clubs 2 age groups younger and teens . Across the road a small supermarket for purchases and a money exchange and ATM taxi next door very convenient
