The rooms were comfortable and we had a nice view looking over the ski slopes. It is a 5 minute walk down to the ski lifts or 10 minutes if you are carrying skis and walking in ski boots. I would recommend leaving your skis/boots in a shop or Grandvalira ticket office rather than taking up and down to the Hotel (the hotel does have a good locker area for storing overnight). The reception staff were helpful despite the hotel being full. We did the half-board option - the buffet breakfast was generally varied - eggs station, variety of bread, fruit, cereals, etc. The dinner buffet was a bit of hit and miss - the pre-cooked plates were not great (need to be simplified into dishes that everyone likes - there were too many dishes that no-one was eating) but the salad section and meat station had good options on some of the evenings. The desert options each evening were generally very good. The bar area was simple but cosy with a pool table and table football for the kids. We really enjoyed the Magician evening - he was excellent! I think this hotel is in between a 3 and 4 star, but improvements need to be made to be a solid 4.

“A let down overall”

Ordered a triple room, For Skiing its very tight, we barley had space for our stuff. On booking.com they declare the Sauna & Pool is free, in fact it is €12 for 15mins per person & needs to be booked. The cleaners twice toke towels & did not replace also left us without toilet roll twice. Locati... more

Ordered a triple room, For Skiing its very tight, we barley had space for our stuff. On booking.com they declare the Sauna & Pool is free, in fact it is €12 for 15mins per person & needs to be booked. The cleaners twice toke towels & did not replace also left us without toilet roll twice. Location is a bit away from town & at the altitude you would notice the distance home. But its clean, front staff are excellent, breakfast was perfect.
