Wonderful Lodge in such a unique location. We stayed for five full days there! and we loved every minute of it. Easy to access from Iguazú by car/remis in just a couple of hours, and it feels so far from the Iguazú crowds!! It is an excellent option to rest for a few days, but more important to live and experience what is left of the Atlantic jungle in Argentina. Wildlife is everywhere, you just have to learn how and where to look for it. And listen! The jungle will awake all your senses! The hole area is very well preserved at Yacutinga and the contact with nature is for real! Great cabins (all you need) and pretty main Lodge, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, very big spaces to explore daily, interesting typical food, local people doing a great job! The staff and guides are really nice good hearted people (that matters a lot to me). A place where details count! and everybody is happy to welcome you and share a big smile all the time. Activities are plentiful, we did a lot, from kayaking to night walks, also lots of trekking inside the property and a medicine plants tour. But for me being such a nature`s lover, just drinking mate in the mornings by the pool while listening to the birds, watching the monkeys do there thing, and enjoying the incredible butterflies, that made my day already!! And this is an important thought to the traveler ... it felt very meaningful to me and my lady partner to support a place like Yacutinga (by lodging there) which has been protecting and trying to save this wonderful and endangered place on Earth for many years. They are very serious about conservation and working hard for that, big applause! Of course we would come back! Thanks Yacutinga!

“A magical experience”

An enchanting and magical jungle location, comfortable lodging, great food and warm, attentive staff. We stayed for two nights, but regretted not having booked for longer. Without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Argentina!

The lodge is very nice located in the middle of the rainforest. Beautiful to slow down, eat good and watch animals like birds, monkeys etc. The rooms are clean and have mosquito-nets on every window. “A magical place in need of some TLC”

Yacutinga is one of the most unique places we’ve stayed. Nestled in the rainforest and built with all natural materials to fit into that environment, the lodge is a pretty amazing structure and quite beautiful. The rooms are nice and wonderfully quiet (esp after Buenos Aires) and even though the temperature was quite hot (95+) when we were there, the room stayed amazing cool — so if you are worried about no air conditioning, don’t. There’s a fan above the bed and the casitas are built to be energy efficient. The guides are nice people and attentive. The pool is pretty magical, with butterflies and dragonflies and honeybees hovering around you while you swim. The highlights were a guided kayak and swim and a mate cocido demonstration. Capuchin monkeys are everywhere, which was pretty neat to see, and there are researchers there studying them who are great to chat with. So…all good, why the four/3.5 stars? Well, the place sorely needs a person in charge. I don’t really know who is running the place and making sure things are clean, not broken and guests are comfortable. For example, the yoga mats in the studio were filthy. Our room had multiple holes in the screens and a serious spider problem. Don’t get me wrong, the folks were super friendly, it just wasn’t clear who to go to with a problem beyond the little ones. And listen, we camp. We don’t expect a rainforest casita to be bug free. We’re ok with that and expected that. But this was a bit beyond that — like bad enough that someone in my view should have talked to us about changing rooms or comping us. But I don’t think there’s anyone on site with that kind of authority. I think the owner is far away and kind of neglecting the place, which is a shame because reading the reviews it seems like at one time it was amazing. So, yes, go here, because the buildings and the environs are worth it, but go with eyes open.
