We stayed for three nights in early May. The hotel is about a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport, and about 25 minutes direct on the no2 bus. The bus stop is a few yards along the street and there is also a supermarket a few yards up the road, which is useful. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the town and we found a few different routes so this was no problem for us. There is a restaurant around the corner called Fuxxn, which we would recommend but no other restaurants are in the immediate area. However, the hotel is in a great location for exploring Salzburg. The reception staff are really friendly and polite. Check in is at 15:00 but we were able to leave our bags in the bag store, which was really helpful. We were also recommended the Salzburg card, which is worth buying. We used it predominantly for the bus service, but it encouraged us to visit attractions we probably would have missed without it. There is a bar in the lobby and the bar staff that served us while we were there were both very friendly. They have 20% off selected drinks between 16:00 and 18:00 which we utilised on return from a day out, or just before leaving for the evening. The room was clean, the bathroom had Dove products and enough clean towels for us. There is also a safe in the room. The reason for four stars is because the rooms are VERY hot. The windows are floor to ceiling, so it is a bit of a greenhouse. The first night was a struggle. We asked for a fan, which gave some relief for the remaining two nights but it was still very warm. We slept with just the sheet (removing the duvet,) which also helped. The windows can only be opened a few inches for safety and there is an electric black out blind- but it is worth bringing a travel fan. There is AC but it does not provide cold air. One other slight problem was there were only two hangers in our room. We worked with it and I am sure we could have had more delivered to our room if we’d have asked. We would stay here again, but more likely if the AC is more efficient (that is the only thing we could fault.)

We stayed in a king standard room 5 which was in the ground floor. View looked into an alleyway - only disadvantage was staff moving the bins in the morning which you could hear. The pillows were so soft they felt like they were filled with air. Extractor fan in the bathroom very noisy which wasn’t great if one of us had to use the bathroom in the night. Hotel about 1/2 mile from the centre but we didn’t mind the walk. Hotel staff really good especially the lady at breakfast who appeared to be on her own. She worked so hard and was friendly. A couple of grocery shops around the corner for snacks/food.

I booked this hotel as a second part of a week's holiday with British Airways holidays, after staying in Innsbruck for the first part. The hotel is walkable from the rail station - about 15 minutes, and 15 minutes in to the city centre so well situated. I ALWAYS like to give a good review to places, but, on this visit, the room was not ideal - room 222. We didn't want to complain when we got there, so dropped the check-in desk a note on departure. We had a room with a balcony, which adjoins other balconies. Outside, there were quite a few weeds with two cigarette stubs. There were ants inside the patio door. My bedside locker had two bits of fingernail on top when we arrived. No plug in the sink. However, the good points. A comfortable bed, and very nice bathroom with bath and hand shower, as well as a lovely selection of 'Dove' toiletries. Breakfast - we were surprised that breakfast was included, although BA holidays stated room only. Breakfast was very nice, with a hot and cold selection as well as pastries and fresh fruit. Bar - a good selection of drinks with happy hour from 4pm-6pm (20% off drinks) Staff - very welcoming, and a big thank you to the female member who listened to our complaints with concern on checkout.
