We have just returned from a four night stay here. We didn't know what to expect and were not disappointed. The entrance was a bit difficult to find, but having done so we were warmly welcomed by the man at the desk. He explained everything we needed to know to make our stay comfortable and there was always someone there if we needed to ask anything. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed, we particularly like the well equipped kitchen which gave us flexibility. It was in a good spot for getting out and about and had a pleasant outlook. Only one small criticism the mattress sank in the middle a bit and could do with being replaced. It didn't stop us sleeping however.

This hotel is a very old building, with still smoking rooms and smell in some corridors next to smoke-free rooms. Cleaness and silence it's not really a top priority. Breakfast below sufficience. No fridge, no A/C, actually no WIFI as it works so bad (just in the reception area) which is useless. Thi hotel is good only if price is competitive being close to U-bahn (underground) ans S-bahn transportation and with some nice area close by (Zoo). Personell not really helpful: not prepared on most of the normal information (parking, moving around, museums open night in August, etc.)

At fírst the overall lookings are not good. The entrance is very humble and unimpressive, and the Front desk man could be a sort of hostile. However, the location is good and breakfast satisfactory. The Olivaerplatz is just across the street and provides for a pleasant sorrounding. There are two different metro lines within short walking distances from the hotel.

Room fine, large and warm enough with balcony, spacious. Breakfast was ok. Hotel staff not at all friendly and we had the drama of them taking an extra night off our debit card (£64) and to this day 4 months later, we never ever got this money refunded. Hotel itself is very dated, large and no warm atmosphere. We will stay somewhere else on our next visit to Berlin!!! Definitely do not recommend anyone to book this hotel, there are lots of other hotels in the area to choose from.

We stayed at Olivaer Hotel during ITB Berlin on March 2017. We had a terrible experience here. We arrived at night from a long flight. The room had a really bad smell, the blankets were dirty. There is no WIFI signal on the rooms (they promote this property with WIFI but there is no internet signal) When I told the receptionist to move me to another room with internet and with no bad smell she told there is nothing she can do and she ignored me. I wanted to talk to a manager but she told me she was the manager in charge and then I asked here was she was so rude with us, she told me that it is because she cant do anything for us. She didnt seem interested on helping. We stayed here for 8 nights, the breakfast was awful. The only good thing is the location, but you can find better places around. Bad service, False information, Bad Breakfast and the worst customer service around.
