This hotel is simple but very cozy. My room was facing the street and was a little noisy so be sure to ask for a room in the back or side of the hotel. They have a very large breakfast at the first floor, where you can also find a tourism agency. HOWEVER, crossing the street and walking less than 2 min you can find a bus station, there you will find the buses to the Airport, the Iguaçu Falls and also to Argentina, for less than 5 reais. And it is really safe, I have done all my tourism this way.

There is no question,this Hotel has a very convenient location. It is very near to Bars and Restaurants, the Cassino and late evening music and dance show Rafain Churrascaria. Hotel provides a free transport to reach the evening events in Foz do Iguacu. Baviera Hotel maybe is not the first class category, but for short stay and the rates they chargé is convenient accomodation.

We stayed at this place for 4 nights, two of them we were sick and thus spent the whole day in the room. First of all: THE HOTEL DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ON THE PICTURE AT ALL. It is a pretty run down panel block building next to McDonalds on one of the main roads. This place is nothing special but a fairly affordable choice. POS: it is clean and the location is pretty central with buses stopping almost outside the door bringing you both to Argentina and to the falls. Front desk staff was helpful, even though they did not speak English at all. They also sold boat tours in the Brazilian national park, which were a little cheaper compared to when bought on spot. The breakfast was typically for most Brazilian hotels in that price range, but fair enough. NEG: during our stay, there was some mayor renovating, which created allot noise during the day and evening. Since we were sick these days, this was especially annoying. Nobody informed us about noise upon arrival, there was just a little note in Portuguese laid out at reception. We complained about that and got 50 RAIS (approx. 18 EUR) off the total bill. Nobody except for the manager spoke English (or German, which you might assume if the place is place Bavaria Hotel) . The laundry was pretty expensive and no one was able to tell us the price beforehand. LOCATION: central location with buses outside the door ROOM: clean, interior from the 70 ies. Renovated bathroom. There is no hot water line, but instead an electrical shower head, which heats up the water. That was installed a little adventurously with uninsulated leads hanging just a few centimetres above the water stream.

I stayed here as part of a tour group. We had budget type rooms the whole trip but I found this place to be ridiculous. It was like a hostel almost. My least favorite on the trip and perhaps one of my least favorites of all time. A positive I can give it is there are 2 beer gardens across the street and it was fairly clean- just not comfortable at all.
