Hotel Imperial Plovdiv is the best place to stay in Plovdiv. The highest quality of service, the attentiveness and careful attitude of the staff who treated us as their own friends, the cleanliness of the rooms and the kitchen. We have been coming to this hotel for the last 5 years and would not change it for any other hotel in Plovdiv. Special thank you to Vladimir Kochanov the Manager who attended to whatever requirements we asked for. Definitely recommend this place if you want to be treated first class!

“Everything was perfect”

I can recommend this place to all people who are planning their trip to Plovdiv. The hotel is very clean quiet and the best thing are the 2 gardens and the most friendly staff that I encountered. Stay there you will not regret it!!!

Located at about 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by foot from the main pedestrianised shopping Street or the old town, there’s free parking but can get busy when there are events. The architecture is very much a communist brutalist building which has been modified and modernised inside was initially room 324 which looked to the back and had a little pool but unfortunately the room smelts of cigarettes and had to change to 403 which is opposite the left but views of the front of the building And therefore the trees blocked out any sort of view. The corridor looked very brutalist like you would’ve gone back into a utopia Stalinist building. There is lack of privacy as looking out to the left. There was a building about six floors high glass building which could potentially look into the rooms. The rooms was larger and larger than the standard rooms on the other end of the floor. It was very much sparsely furnished. There was no paintings on the wall just wood panelling and wallpaper brown curtains brown so far, fake marble table with a fridge with drinks in it and a sizable TV. The bathroom was also modern but with little in terms of the design design. Check in was easy but unfortunately had to change rooms. The gym which is open 24hours on the lower ground floor which situated of the spa has got five cardio machines with free weight and benches and the multi-station machine. I would consider the environment and interior rather depressing with what looks like a oldschool gym air ventilators exposed basement like ceilings and atmosphere with a bit of a leak in the middle towards the end as well calcification of water on the floor and the weight bench. There is water cooler and towels are over fragrant ie too much conditioner. The spa was the saving grace. It’s open from 0930 to 2030 and was excellent with 4 hot rooms including a Norwegian, Turkish, aroma and infra red. There was also a 4 man whirlpool/ jacuzzi with water jets for back massage and heated tiled seats for your back. All in all not a great location if you are here asa a tourist but the spa is the highlight and would recommend using it as much as possible and the added bonus of a gym and free parking. Sizeable rooms too for the superior category.
