Cannot fault the Garden of Eden, beautifully maintained, friendly staff, lots of pools and in a great location with own stunning beach area. Food (we just had the breakfast included but wished we'd gone for lunch too) was tasty and lots of variety. Lovely marina nearby and just a short bus ride to Sunny Beach. Boat trip to Nessabar also recommend. Great holiday and can't wait to come back!

Excellent choice for a family especially with small children. Very clean very well maintain gardens and pools with bars and restaurants in normal prices if you don’t have half package included. Excellent choice for a family especially with small children. Very clean very well maintain gardens and pools with bars and restaurants in normal prices if you don’t have half package included. Quite place ideal for rest. Kind staff ready to serve you. Many alternatives to visit in the surrounding with even night clubs in the marina closed by 5 minutes walking. Very good food in the restaurants. Very good choice in general in normal prices for a family. Deserve to come again thank you.

We (my family and I) were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the Garden of Eden Resort and then again by the beauty of Bulgaria in general! The resort's gardens were well maintained and made walking around that much nicer. Our apartment was spacious and had two bedrooms, three toilets (the smallest of which we just didn't use or need), but was a little worn around the edges. The cleaners were efficient but brief and kept us well stocked with towels and toilet paper. We were lucky enough to have a pool just outside of the little terrace area of our apartment which proved to be a great thing for me (aged 13) and my brother (aged 11). We loved the pools and spent a great deal of time in the various ones around the site. The beach boasted a wonderful view across the Black Sea and felt private despite being a public beach. The sea was warm and when it was windy it was great fun to swim in. There was a lifeguard on duty during certain hours but unfortunately they didn't seem to be too alert. We stayed half-board and were provided with a breakfast and dinner buffet which couldn't be swapped for a lunch service. The food was alright and provided a wide selection. There were always long queues for the coffee machines and one was nearly always out of order but apart from that everything was fine. Luckily, for fussy eaters like myself there was always breakfast cereal in the mornings and chips/ wedgies in the evenings! There was a shop on site which had all of the basic food needed for lunch or other meals and crucially provided drinking water. There were three restaurants on site: the Fish Restaurant which provided sea views, the Italian Restaurant which also had a take-way service, and the buffet restaurant which also provided ordered food. There were also multiple bars but most of which closed very early. We went on a number of trips from the resort including the Nessebar Aqua Park which was quite expensive but was a fun day out. There was also a 'water taxi' to the town of Nessebar from the hotel which was cheaper than taking a bus or taxi. Just a quick note: any bus going to St Vlas will take you to a bus stop about a 5 minute walk from the resort and a bus going to Elenite will drop you off a bit closer to the resort. Overall, it was an amazing place for an amazing price - I would definitely recommend it!

Nice resort but in need of some improvement in some areas. We didn’t actually find the staff bad at all. They were perfectly helpful. We asked for another duvet and had one the same day. However the bed was very hard. There isn’t much mattress and it’s stuck to the wood below. The sheet didn’t fit the bed. However the air con was spot on which is important! We had an apartment comprising one bedroom, a small bathroom with wash basin, toilet and shower with a very low edge on the floor and a curtain that was about 5 inches too short so the water spilled out every time. We used a small towel as a mat to stop us slipping on the flooded floor. There is a bucket and mop provided to push the water down the extra drain on the floor though lol. We had a good sized living area with kitchenette at one end with table and chairs. We had a large fridge freezer and a small washing machine. We had asked for a washing machine so we’re pleased to get one as we stayed for 2 weeks. It was a strange washing machine where you had to open the drum from above but it worked fine. The cleaners came in most days and mopped the floor, provided clean towels and loo roll and tidied the bed. They were very pleasant. We had an issue with the shower fitting but it was fixed within about 30 minutes. There was a toaster, kettle and filter coffee machine. We had a balcony facing the exit to the complex which obviously wasn’t the greatest view but it was ok and there was a clothes airer to dry towels and laundry. We also had a TV in our apartment. We took a hotel provided taxi to Old Town Nessebar one day which was very good. It collected us again within about 40 mins of calling the hotel. We did consider the boat trip but the sea was quite choppy on many days and we were happy with what we did. We didn’t go to Sunny Beach….! We spoke to another couple who said that their sleeping arrangements weren’t great and they knew of other people who had been put in a basement with almost no natural light and when they asked to be moved they were refused. I had already read reviews on this issue so sadly was not surprised. Even though they were with TUI, ultimately the hotel will do what they want. The pools were lovely. We went in the quieter ones with less children around. Some of the more central pools looked to be more child friendly although I am sure all are fine. We didn’t see the pools get cleaned at any time and there was some sand in them. We went to the Vista Bar a few times for a cocktail during Happy Hour or beers and to sit on the sofas looking over the complex. We didn’t go to the Italian Restaurant but we did go to the fish tavern by the beach. We were refused to sit on two tables along the edge with the view over the sea. We were sat at a small central table. Moments later two sets of couples arrived and were allowed to sit in the tables that we were refused!!!! I challenged the man serving us who couldn’t really give a good excuse and didn’t apologise even when I asked if it was personal which he denied. Think we were the only British people though out of the three couples…….! When we visited the restaurant was not busy at all. There were lots of a available tables but it seemed we had to be hidden under cover in the middle?!! It was a shame because we just didn’t want to go there again after such insulting treatment. Others we spoke to said that they had also had issues at the fish restaurant with the man wanting three groups to group together and pay off one card!!!! He wanted two groups to pay the card bearer in cash even though they barely knew each other. Amazing customer service, not!! I don’t know if they have very much returning trade…. We noticed that there definitely seemed to be a lot more Polish/Russian/German tourists at the resort than British. The gardens are beautiful and we often saw them being tended to. Absolutely gorgeous. The shop on site sells the basics. We always drank bottled water during our stay. The Paradiso Restaurant was good. A good selection of buffet style food. Not always great but often good enough to fill us up. The staff were attentive with taking dishes. Obviously abroad they are a lot more lenient about smoking, which we understand. However, it is still really bad that people do still smoke on the terrace alongside other tables where people are still eating. The smokers didn't seem to care a bit, even if they were next to a table with babies and young children. We think that the restaurant should ask smokers to go elsewhere on site to smoke when they have finished eating as it’s just not on around other people. We have asthma. Babies and young children are vulnerable to smoke and may have illnesses such as CF etc. Its not a lot to ask smokers to move off if they want to smoke. There are plenty of other places to go!! We even had to move part way through some meals because people next to us lit up their fags. Yes they were on holiday, but they could have gone anywhere else on site to smoke!! Although on the whole we had a nice break at the Garden of Eden, there isn’t a whole lot else around to do without a long trip. We liked the quietness of the complex but wished there was more around it to do ie walks, nearby bars/restaurants. We did walk into Sveti Vlas a couple of times and to the marina. The beach was very nice but there was quite a lot of rubbish in the sea. I brought out three large pieces of plastic as I couldn’t just leave it in the sea! It was nice to try a different country but we probably won’t go back.
