My husband and I stayed here overnight recently prior to embarking on an Alaska cruise. Despite what the name suggests the hotel is not actually on the waterfront but is set back a block. We were fortunate to be upgraded and our room was really lovely with a small balcony (though no chairs to sit out there). It was very spacious with a couple of large armchairs next to the patio so you could enjoy the view overlooking the waterfront. The room was clean with a queen sized bed. There was a free safe, fridge and coffee maker and it was very comfortable overall. The bathroom was adequate. As previous reviews have stated the room and hotel generally are looking somewhat dated and could do with a bit of an overhaul but it is perfectly comfortable. There is a pool and gym but we were only staying overnight and didn’t have chance to use either. We didn’t eat here as we weren’t prepared to pay $36 each for breakfast so found a little coffee shop and had a coffee and a croissant for a fraction of that price. The restaurant looked very nice though - looking out towards the waterfront.

I was visiting for a work conference and found the whole stay pretty lack luster to be honest. First, I had notified the hotel 2 days prior that my flight had been cancelled and I would no longer be arriving on Thursday night as planned and instead I would be arriving very early (ie 6-7 am) Friday morning. The man I spoke with assured me that he would make a note on my reservation so that I wouldn't be charged any no show fees or have my reservation cancelled. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, as I arrived Friday early and exhausted from a super early morning flight only to be told that I was marked no show and they had charged me. It took a good 30 minutes for them to not fix it but at least re-instate my reservation and get me checked in. Not the best first impression but I was too tired to fight it at the time and just wanted to get changed as I needed to get to the convention center ASAP. The room itself is fine. Not the best but not the worst. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. One thing to note is they do not offer room service (which I was bummed about) but instead you can order from the restaurant downstairs and then they call you to come get it when it's ready. Obviously would have preferred room service but I appreciated that they had some alternative. My stay overall was fine. Unfortunately, while the hotel did let everyone know the marathon was happening on the day of my last stay, they did not notify me it could possibly be loud and give me the opportunity to request a higher floor. I was on one of the lowest floors they offer and I was woken to a loud drumline starting at 7 am on Sunday morning that never stopped. I ended up checking out early because I could not take the noise anymore. When I notified the hotel of the loudness, no one really offered any apologies or even something to make up for it. Overall, my stay was fine. I probably would not stay again but can't knock the location!
