Stayed in one of the Deluxe Queen Suites during our stay at this lovely hotel. Handy location, 10 minutes walk from either Yaletown-Roundhouse or Vancouver City Centre airport train stops, and about 20 minutes walk from the Gastown Steam clock. On your doorstep are many varied styles and budgets of eating options to enjoy. And if you love coffee, lovelarte in the library building just over the road is a must! We found it to be a good base to explore this part of Vancouver from on foot, and for the further away places the public transport and the proximity to train stations made it easy. All the interactions with the staff were very pleasant and it was clear they were aiming to make your stay an enjoyable one. I do remember a chat with one of the housekeeping staff who was patiently explaining to me that she would do the room when it suited us for it to be done, and the breakfast staff checking that we had enough to eat. To me it felt like everyone was there to ensure your stay was pleasant. The room itself, while perhaps a little dated in some ways, was comfortable, warm, quiet and spotlessly clean. Not sure what make the bed was, but it was super comfortable. We had nothing to complain about or take issue with during our stay here, an easy five and recommendation from our experience.

Whenever we travel to YVR from Australia we stay at the Rosedale and we are never disappointed. My kids love the treasure chest at the front desk and were spoilt with toys from the ladies at the front desk. We arrived at 8:30am after a 15 hour flight and they had our room ready to go which we were sincerely grateful for. We had a one bedroom suite which was large enough for 2 adults & 2 children. The little kitchenette is handy (could do with a kettle though). Breakfast is great - it’s continental and they have cereals, toast and huge muffins + a coffee and juice machine. The indoor pool was a bit cool for us, but we loved the spa. Perfect location in downtown YVR, walking distance to shops, Roger’s Arena and the waterfront. Bell staff very helpful. Had dinner once at Original Joes. Was fine! Will always be our first choice in YVR.

Having lived in the neighborhood for over 20+ years, I've always wondered what this hotel was like as I've heard mixed reviews. I've recently moved to the Cariboo and needed a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced place to stay while in town for work. Room rates posted on the hotel's website were out of my budget; however, I was able to snag a last-minute deal on booking.com for about 30% below the rate posted online. 🙂 I checked in at around 7:30 pm on 4/17/24, where the very friendly front desk manager handled my registration. After a very long day of traveling, I appreciated her professionalism and efficiency (start to finish, check-in was no more than 4 minutes, which was awesome!). Prior to booking, I knew that the hotel was in near-original condition; however, I was pleasantly surprised not only by the generous size and configuration of the room (my standard room was easily 450-500 SQFT) but also by the floor-to-ceiling windows, air-conditioning, and fully equipped galley kitchen (although I only used the fridge). In 2024 alone, I've stayed at over 40 hotels across Canada and the US, and I have to say this has to be the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. That said, it's important to note that although appearing to be in like-new condition, the furnishings, decor, and common areas are in original, if not near-original condition. Honestly, it didn't bother me whatsoever; however, this may be an issue for some other guests, maybe. If you aren't familiar with the area, Hamilton Street is downtown Vancouver's best-kept secret and undoubtedly the best spot in all of the city. Whether you are solo, a young family, date night etc, this is where you want to stay. Maximum 5-minute walk to Rogers Arena/BC Place, Yaletown restaurant district, or 10 minutes to the Seawall, Granville St/Orpheum/Commodore, and everything downtown has to offer. Also, one of the very few areas downtown not immersed with non-stop construction. Assuming that I can secure a room for a similar rate in the future, this will be my go-to spot from now on. “Friendly staff, good location”

Really good staff at the front desk, concierge and housekeeping. Very friendly and hospitable. My only complaint was that it was quite old and rundown, but the room was clean and comfortable so nothing to worry about. The hotel is in a great location.
