“Good value hotel with great snorkelling at its beach.”

Stayed in the off season during a storm limited period. The hotel was great and has the best hotel beach we saw on the main Island of Bora Bora. Snorkelling on the small reef 10 meters from the shore was a great introduction for my wife. Water was very clear and we saw at least 40 species of fish. Rooms are of a good size and serviced daily. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel for those without megabucks to blow. It is also within easy walk of Matira beach and a number of restaurants.

We stayed three nights here at the beginning of our vacation in Bora Bora. Great place to start. Snorkeling is good right outside, but you must rent one of their boats. It is just a short rise to the best snorkeling spots on the island. The spots where the tours take you, Had two nice connecting rooms with ocean view. Had some trouble with water running from the AC but they helped us solve it. The staff is very friendly and the restaurants are okay. Short walking distance to more options. Would recommend to start your Bora Bora stay here.

“Great hotel for its price point - but note some issues that might be important to you”

We stayed here for about a week in January 2024 in the lagoon view building with rooms in the 70s. It is a good hotel that has been in business for about 25 years and has many long time employees. Rooms have been built and updated in various phases so comments on any type of room may not apply to other rooms. Owner so this hotel is reported to own other ones at higher price levels. This is a 3 start hotel by local standards and is good at that level. January is in "rainy season" and is an off season so occupancy was low during our stay. Hard to predict how busy spring season may differ. Rooms was immaculate and was cleaned well every day. Staff very friendly, particularly is you try a little French. Seem to have adequate command of English for their jobs. Snorkeling tour they recommended was very well done. Dinner and Lunch at restaurant next to lagoon was good and scenic, but menu is limited. Fortunately there are a few other restaurants in walking distance if you want a change. Also 2 local groceries a short walk away. Lagoon is great for easy snorkeling but there was some visibility issues probably resulting from land runoff in rainy season. Reef restoration next to beach resulted in great coral and fish variety there. Note that if you need some sun protection at beach there are no beach umbrellas and limited shady space provided by palms. Area near dock has most protected area but few beach lounges. Web site does not mention Wi-Fi but hotel has odd Wi-Fi coverage that is poor to nonexistant in most rooms and marginal in 2 restaurants. If such connectivity is important to you demand an update and guarantee for get cellular hot spot before you come as cellular coverage is good. Power outlets in the room we had were adequate for a decade or 2 ago, not for the devices people often carry now. Room had no USB outlets, only 1 110V outlet in bathroom and only a few 220V outlets in generally odd places for the lamps so difficult to reach and use for using plug convertors for chargers. Our thanks to the kind staff who were very helpful and friendly.

Good location on the main island with amazing snorkling right from the beach. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow, close to the pier. The beach area was a so-called swimming zone, but in the morning and afternoon, packed with boats and jet skies for all the guests who had rented these. Ok, but don't call it a swimming zone, more a loading dock. Luckily, the beach area where there are no boats is close by. The bungalow was a bit worn out and tired looking. Could use a bit of an upgrade. There are small geckos in the room crawling around, and most days, we had little poo marks on our bed, we believe the geckos were on the ceiling beams. They should have a cover or something under the ceiling to avoid this. We have experienced this solution at other hotels. The breakfast buffet was a disappointment. Not the best variety and the fruit and bread selection too basic. The restaurant is too small for the capacity of the hotel, so sometimes a little wait to get a table. We only had one lunch at the beach restaurant and one dinner at the main restaurant, and those were good experiences. The staff was ok, not so friendly. Be aware that there are many stray dogs in the area. We woke up one morning to find a dog in one of the chairs on the terrace. I wish the hotel would try to do more to keep the dogs away.
