The management and staff are exceptional and do everything in their power to ensure an enjoyable stay. We chose half board because the range of food available is tremendous and delicious. How did we know that? This was our seventh visit, so they must be doing something right! There are three pools plus a pool for small children and an indoor pool. Take a walk out of the hotel grounds and you are on La Guirra beach, it’s that close.

“Really good family hotel, with great staff”

The hotel is very nice, just a bit tired in places. The room we were in had a good layout for a family, for example the toilet and the shower/bath are in two separate areas with doors, with two sinks in-between. It allowed the family to use different parts of the bathroom at the same time. We were breakfast only, but the food was very good but there was a lack of labelling. For example, for vegetarians and vegans the croquettes, which are often just potato based, had bacon in them but there was no way of knowing. And sometimes you weren't able to tell what the item actually was as there was no label at all. They had many non dairy milk options. Overall the breakfast selection was very good, and it even had barista type coffee available! There were enough sunbeds for everyone so there wasn't a rush to get them. Towels are provided if you ask reception. There is one heated pool, a slightly less warm pool, a cold pool, and a children's pool. Be warned, even the heated pools are not super warm. Throughout the day Multiple activities were run, such as water polo (for both kids and adults), archery, aquarobics, football, aqua spin and aqua trampolining. They had something for everyone. The animation team, were amazing running the activities, especially Olga. The evening entertainment was a variety of live singers at the piano bar. The bar staff were amazing. Willy made the experience especially entertaining and welcoming. Overall the decor was a bit dated but the hotel and staff make for a nice atmosphere, and we'd happily stay again!

“Not as nice as last year”

Our fourth trip here. Won’t be returning. Reception staff rude, seem to have a superiority complex. One of the bellboys (dark, large build) very rude. It has soured for us which is a shame because it was a bolthole for our spring getaway. When you’ve just got off a flight you want a warm greeting. By contrast the restaurant staff are lovely, hardworking and pleasant. The grounds are immaculate, plenty of sunbeds and the beach is nice. Admittedly it was only £1400 each for the week half board, but I’ve travelled a lot and this was just not an experience I wish to repeat.

To start with this hotel is not anywhere near 5 star as mentioned on previous reviews..although the hotel is pleasant its the little things that make the 5 star experience. For example … poor maintenance throughout the pool needs shutting and retiling as stated on other reviews. Things like pool bar not having butter at weekends, half baby pool fountains not working,only complementary water in rooms first day then nothing also tea and coffee not replaced. The food in the buffet is mediocre at best again asked for Latte from the person making them and I was told no and hushed away to machines which don’t do latte only milky coffee. The evening entertainment is diabolical a room with seats in a line and small stage which starts at 6.30pm ?? Still at pool at that time. The only entertainment was at piano bar where the wait for a drink was not 5 star! The rooms are large comfy bed but pillows went missing?? 3 in our party only 2 chairs on the balcony ? Chinese restaurant on site waste of time limited menu … watch the bill at pool bar because all chatting mix up bills and then told to go to reception to resolve. The pool food is good but pigeons everywhere walking over plates that have been set. We had a pleasant time however would not come back. You may read this and think it’s just moaning and it is because we paid for 5 star experience and for those who have experienced good 5 star hotels will understand how disappointing this is . If you have booked this hotel don’t threat you will enjoy a low 4 star hotel.
