Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt Airport

“The only Frankfurt airport hotel with a shuttle & free breakfast!”

We arrived in Frankfurt in the morning and easily found the point outside terminal 1 where the hotel shuttle picked us up shortly after. It took 12 minutes or so for a ride to the hotel. The receptionist Jasmin was very welcoming and gave us an early check-in at no extra charge! The room was clean and modern, and had all we needed. The free breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices,and the espresso machine where you can make your own cappuccinos & macchiatos! There is a nice wooded area outside the hotel. And once you cross the street, you can quickly walk to a great German beer garden & restaurant (as well as an Italian restaurant next to it). The hotel shuttle runs from the airport and back every 30 minutes in the morning and evening (and once an hour in daytime). The ride to the hotel is FREE. But to return to the airport, you would need to reserve a seat on it at the front desk and pay 10 euros per person. All in all, it's a nice choice for a one-night stay by the airport - at a very reasonable price. Thank you, Holiday Inn Express, for providing us with a restful stay after a transatlantic flight! (One suggestion for the future: please add feather pillows to you bedding. That would make our stay even better ;-).

“Don't come here if you need good wifi”

Stayed here for 2 nights in a member room on the top floor. The hotel itself is nice while pretty typical. Breakfast had a good selection, but there was nothing hot. I found it odd the hotel rooms didn't have hair conditioner, but had shampoo and body wash. There is also a great little restaurant... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in a member room on the top floor. The hotel itself is nice while pretty typical. Breakfast had a good selection, but there was nothing hot. I found it odd the hotel rooms didn't have hair conditioner, but had shampoo and body wash. There is also a great little restaurant just across from the hotel up the road (3 min walk) which had a great german menu. It's open until 10PM so would recommend to anyone looking for food and drinks at the hotel. Now for the WIFI - it's almost non-existent. My advice is to try to login downstairs in the lobby, and if you manage to accept the terms, it tends to work a little bit better in the room. Now, the wifi even at its best is really really really slow. Most of the time it just doesn't work. So don't come here if you need wifi to work on something, or watch movies/tv, etc. It isn't happening.
