“Clean, amiable and knowledgeable”

We asked for and received a very quiet decent sized room in the old building. Our check in was quick and efficient and Anatol was a great source of information for places, customs and reference. Michelle was also happy to share and made us feel comfortable and welcome.

Just inside the walls and just 5 minutes walking from underground Weisserturm, or 15 minutes walking to the centre (Marktplatz). Very kind staff, nice clean and comfortable room, wide bathroom with hairdryer, fridge (but no electric kettle). Excellent breakfast for €12 (if not already included in your reservation) and it's absolutely worthy. Free parking in the hotel courtyard if you are lucky to find one, because no reservation is possible, but for Nürnberg that's something great to have. In case, just outside the hotel there is a parking garage for €18/day. The only bad point, if you're thirty you will pay € 6,20 for a 1lt bottle of water...really an exaggeration that leave a nonsense bitter taste.

A primary reason for booking this hotel was that it offered free parking. What they do not say is that parking is not secure and is on a first come,first served basis. On our arrival there was apparently no space available, but when I remonstrated with the receptionist she found a space for us. After that, all was good. Located within the old town walls, most attractions are within easy walking distance from the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Real glasses for drinks was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of cold meats, cheeses and scrambled eggs. One thing to be aware of, if you are visiting in summer, is that the rooms, at least our room anyway, have no air-con. Overall a nice place and we shall be happy to return.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I was travelling alone, so I  had a single bed room which was in a different building. Room was okay, nothing special, very clean and well maintained. Very quiet room and very very good location! There was a really odd smell in that room, and there was some kind of water damage just above the window, which was tried to hide by curtains. My friend visited me in this hotel and got a bad reaction from mold; nose running, hard to breath etc. The situation of the room was a bit odd, in a different builing around a corner from the hotel. The building was a normal old house and people were living there. In total there was only 3 hotel rooms in that floor, rest of them were apartments were locals live. Felt more like an airbnb than a hotel.
