This was a one night stay prior to a day in Amsterdam. So let's start at the beginning, the shuttle bus. On arrival, exit the Schipol Mall and bear right to area A9-13, as that's where many of the hotel buses should arrive. There is no queue, just lots of passengers mingled together awaiting their particular bus. The Ramada one is scheduled to depart every 15/45; ours was late so when it did arrive there was quite an aggressive scrum as there were more passengers than seats / standing room. Some didn't make it. I know queuing might be a British thing, but even so... We'd done our research, so we knew we had to book a return shuttle (every 00 / 30), and we would have to pay by credit card. No problems, all the passengers for the 0900 departure seemed to understand this, had paid, had their tickets, and were there in good time, so we were set to depart on good time. But then, you know there's always someone who comes out of the hotel just a bit late, jumps on the bus, no ticket, but dumps their bags on board and goes back inside to reception to get tickets. So we depart late. There has to be a better way, though I'm not sure what Ramada can do about it. So the hotel. Check in was good, but we were lucky to be off the rammed bus quickly and at the head of a long queue. It was quite late in the evening, but the 24/7 shopette adjacent to reception was very much appreciated for food and the bar area is quite nice, with a good local beer. The room was as expected. Large, clean, comfortable warm and importantly for an airport hotel, quiet. Indeed, the hotel is surrounded by farmland. The bathroom also met expectations. Breakfast was really very good. We were met on the way in, allowed to choose our own table but shown where all the food and drink was laid out. You could stuff yourself for the entire day here; indeed some guests seemed to be on a mission to do so. And that was it really. Checked out and off we went. But it worked for us and we would stay again. Just wish human nature would let the bus operate more efficiently.

Nice hotel but disgusted they charged us 100 euro for being 20 mins late to check out! When the receptionist man chapped the door to ask if we needed a late checkout he said nothing about charging us 100 euro for being 20 mins late out! And they said nothing about this when we checked out at the ... more

Nice hotel but disgusted they charged us 100 euro for being 20 mins late to check out! When the receptionist man chapped the door to ask if we needed a late checkout he said nothing about charging us 100 euro for being 20 mins late out! And they said nothing about this when we checked out at the front desk they just charged it as we left! Shocking 🙁
