“Excellent Location & Spotless - Great Value for Venice!!”

Located near the Academia Bridge and within 10 min walk of St Marco Square. Just up the street from the best restaurant in Venice -- A Beccafico!! the bathroom was spotless, the air conditioning was sufficient and the breakfast was very nice

“Nice, off the beaten path”

Stayed here for 3 days. Enjoyed the fact it was off the main tourist area. The hotel was nice, our room was clean. Small breakfast is served prior to 10am. Our room faced the front of the hotel that looked down the alley, you could hear the children go to school in the morning and daily life ... more

Stayed here for 3 days. Enjoyed the fact it was off the main tourist area. The hotel was nice, our room was clean. Small breakfast is served prior to 10am. Our room faced the front of the hotel that looked down the alley, you could hear the children go to school in the morning and daily life in general. This did not bother me but gave me a sense of normal Italian life. The hotel is very close to St. Samuele stop, boat #2. There is also a very nice piazza, St. Stefano, with nice restaurants without service charges or fees. I loved this area. I would stay here again.

“Tremendous value small hotel in great location”

This is the third time we have stayed at Casa Arte which must say something about quality and value for money.The rooms are decorated in real Venetian style with fabric wallcoverings .This is a small hotel with only seven bedrooms and a rather cramped dining room.However the hotel has been converted from an old Venetian house so some compromise is inevitable so far as space is concerned.On the plus side the staff are friendly and helpful;the location is excellent being only a short walk from the Accedemia footbridge and Grand Canal in one direction and about fifteen minutes walk in the opposite direction to St Mark's Square.

“Eh..probably wouldn't stay here again but it was ok for 2 nights.”

I would give this 2 stars based on American hotels, but compared to hotels in Venice this hotel was acceptable. Given that the newest buildings in venice are 100 years old, I can't expect modern rooms. Pros: The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly. They were very responsive to my email... more

I would give this 2 stars based on American hotels, but compared to hotels in Venice this hotel was acceptable. Given that the newest buildings in venice are 100 years old, I can't expect modern rooms. Pros: The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly. They were very responsive to my emails and provided us with a lot of information. Check in was great! We arrived at 1 a.m. and were able to use a code on the key pad outside and to the room to get in. They had a nice a breakfast with good coffee. The hot water was reliable. It's in a good location situated in a quiet alley. Cons: There is a very narrow staircase leading to the rooms. The room we stayed in was tiny. Just enough room for a bed and small desk. The buttons on the air unit were missing so you had to guess as to what you were pushing. The shower curtain had mildew and the shower was less than desirable.
