Stayed here for 4 nights in room 12(?). I had arrived from an overnight train from Vienna and got to the hostel too early for check-in Arriving too early for check-in is fairly normal and usually, the staff are still friendly. The guy on desk in the morning was right up there with the most soured faced reception staff I’ve ever encountered, but it was fine to leave my bags at the hostel and wash up in the bathroom. The check-in process was fairly simple thereafter as I’d already booked and paid online. The staff then showed me to the bottom of the stairs leading to the rooms and just told me to go to the top. There’s two flights of steep stairs to my dorm and there’s no lifts. I fit and healthy, but even I found it annoying having to climb up and down those stairs several times a day. The room was a four bed dorm with two bunk beds. I guess the bunk allocated to me as it was the only one not made up had fresh sheets on it. One sheet for the mattress, one for the pillow case and one thin sheet in lieu of a duvet for the blanket. The bunk came with a private light and one electrical socket. The bed frame was one of those metal frame varieties that shook a bit whenever someone moved, but luckily my bunkmates were restful sleepers and I got a good night's sleep every night. Each guest also has one locker which was big and tall enough to hold even a large backpack. The room had an ensuite bathroom with the usual basin, 2 toilets and a shower. Everything worked perfectly and the bathroom was cleaned everyday. Breakfast is served every morning and I think is free for everyone. By hostels standards, the breakfast is decent consisting of various breads, cereals etc. There’s also a coffee and juice machines. Pretty good breakfast considering the price paid and being in an expensive city. The hostel offers free Wifi, which I’m happy to say worked well. Location wise, the hostel is about 10 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, which is only a few stops into the centre of Milan, where most of the attractions are. The hostel is around a mainly residential area and there’s also plenty of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants around. The supermarket is pretty useful for bringing back food to cook in the hostel kitchen. The hostel has I think two fridges to store stuff. I cooked there pretty much every night of the stay and everything you need to cook and eat is provided. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The facilities in the hostel are pretty good and everything on offer was very good for the price. There’s lots of lounge/chill out areas to sit and relax so that you don’t need to sit in your room during down time.

The hostel is located relatively far outside the city center, but there are public transport options to get there and back. I recommend getting a day ticket for this purpose. The rooms themselves were decent, but the bathrooms could've used a cleaning. The room also provides lockers, but you need your own lock. Breakfast is offered and it was very good; they even have a coffee machine to make different beverages. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
