We recently stayed at the Locanda Navona and had a great time! We had a lovely room on the corner (105) which overlooked the bustling street and bars below, and was less than two minutes' walk to the large Piazza Navona. The hotel was in a great location and we walked to the Vatican (around 30 mins) in one direction, and the Colosseum, (around 30 mins) in the other direction. The room amenities were really good, with water bottles, tea, coffee, juice cartons and biscuits being replenished each day. Because of the central location, it was very busy outside on the streets and in the bars below, particularly so on the Friday and Saturday nights. There are wooden shutters over the windows, which keep the light out well, and then there are doubled-glazed doors to shut out most of the noise. We could hear a tiny amount of noise when we went to sleep, but it didn’t bother us at all (I wore ear plugs, but my husband didn't need them), and, of an evening, we enjoyed sitting at the open window with a glass of wine watching the world go by (after a drink in the bar ourselves). Andrea and the reception staff were really helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary too. Andrea provided us with a map when we arrived which was really helpful, as he highlighted the areas to go (sightseeing as well as good places to eat and drink), and we used this map loads. We would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again when we return.

Beautiful place 2 min walk from piazza Navona, clean and cozy. Nice italian breakfast at small restaurant downstairs with fresh orange juice and italian atmosphere. We like everything. Thank you for sending us small toy we left in the room. Wish to come back one day :)

This is in a FANTASTIC location! It is quaint little mini-hotel in the heart of Rome. There is lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops right outside of your door! Easy walking distance to Piazza Navona. 20 minute walk to most other sites. The owner is very responsive. There is an app that you can download to open the front door with your phone. The rest require a key. It is quiet in spite of being in the heart of the action. The windows open to the sites below, but keep it very quiet as well. They left champagne, glasses and chocolate in our room on Christmas Day! What a lovely surprise! They also provided toothpaste and toothbrushes as well as disposable slippers and other toiletries. There are several snacks and drinks that are in the hotel room at no charge. The best little pizza & sandwich shop was right outside the front door - Mami! A great fast meal when you are on the go in Rome! Disliked · It is a bit difficult to find. Fortunately, our taxi driver dropped us right at the door. The owner did send us detailed instructions. It would have been very difficult to find in the dark with all of the activity surrounding it. Once you get into the building, there are many different residences on different floors. This is on the first floor. I called the owner at this point to find the way in to the hotel area. Once inside, there is a small reception desk that is manned at certain times of the day. The toilet continued flushing after use and we had to push the button a few times every flush to get it to stop. The towels are very thin. Otherwise, it was very nice stay. We would stay here again.
