Good basic hotel, clean and well run

This is a clean and well run hotel suitable for a basic stay. The rooms are generally small but spotless and the staff at the front desk are helpful. En suite bathrooms good. The location is excellent, in a quiet street, with a short walk to Hyde Park in one direction and a good street of shops and cafes in the other direction. Nothing fancy but better than many other hotels in its price range in central London.

Not bad for the money

For the price of the room it wasn't bad at all. Comfy beds, en suite shower room, and a reasonable sized TV. Only downfall was the lack of plug sockets. With 2 phones, a TV and a heater which were all wanted if not needed only 2 plug sockets was not enough. The staff were so helpful though, especially the guy who was on at night. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome.

Great location - but very very basic

Our room was small and narrow but it's absolutely fine as it's still worth the money. The carpet definitely needs changing - not just cleaning! Apart from the carpet everything seemed clean but the whole place would benefit from some renovation. The overall experience was not so bad but we won't stay here again. The check in/out went surprisingly quickly which was great however the breakfast was completely the opposite. We were seated at a table then 5 min later had to move to an other table...then we waited for like 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order then another 10-15 minutes to get that 2 muffins, 1 apple, and 2 coffes....

Agressive receptionist, it is a hostel not a hotel, works outside window - wifi charged and limit

I checked in straight off flight from Dubai at 10.30pm at night. I had work in Notting Hill Gate for few days so I needed to be close to location and no other hotels were available. I thought I have found a gem. When I arrived at hotel reception the receptionist refused to acknowledge my presence for at least two minutes, despite standing within breathing distance. She was helpful at first, but when I pressed on a few details regarding the wifi which despite advertising was not free and had limits, she was rude abrupt and unprofessional. I asked to speak with a manager and she said 'no' refused to call them because it was night time. The dialogue then focused on her using adjectives to describe me, when I said I would be checking out in the morning and expected an apology she said' why, its your word against mine'. I think she thought she was in a Spanish soap opera, but definitely had anger issues. I immediately called the booking website when in my room. This was 11.30pm at night. They were appalled and advised if I needed they could book me somewhere else. I declined and checked out the next day. To think things could not get worse - At 3am in morning I had a man on drugs naked from waist up doing 'snow angels' howling like a dog on ground outside my window (there was no snow) this lasted for 1.5 hrs until it rained. Then at 7am workers gathered outside in court yard to have their morning coffee. I had less than 3 hours sleep. At 8 works started. There is also a special needs school next door with non verbal autistic students who were clearly affected by the noise from the works. quite a few of them were screaming during recess. The next morning. I also took time to speak to the manager, who said she would look into the issues and acknowledged the school next door. I don't think either the night receptionist or manager have been in service industry before and it showed. The receptionist I spoke with in morning was very sweet, professional and helpful.

Very badhotell

When you visit the Lords Hotel and Casino, you better be ready for the smell, because many of its rooms stink. Although relatively affordable, the room design is great, and excellent air conditioner, walls seem so thin that you could hear someone arguing next door, or a man snoring on the other side. The hotel parking lot is filthy and even scary, because it’s located near the greyhound terminal. What makes this particular establishmen
