“Some good but some not so good”

Our stay reflected many other comments: Excellent location - only 10 mins to square/souk. We never took a taxi in the whole week. Nice pool with plenty of loungers and towels (storks nesting on mobile phone mast at the end of garden!) Our room was cleaned regularly but toiletries poor. Room had poor lighting and almost impossible to read at night. Only Arabic channels on room TV but European football in the lounge if you want it. Staff generally very helpful and most spoke good English/French Breakfast was poor! Terrible coffee from machine, only sweet cereal, only fruit was oranges. Scrambled egg was fine but poor bread. Pastries also poor. For the price we paid this was acceptable and we enjoyed our time here - but don't expect luxury

“Mediocre but suited our needs”

In our experience, we felt that it was a safe, secure base for us to enjoy the holiday. It was basic but it had everything we needed. The bed was OK, bathroom was dated but it did the job. Towels were old and worn and there was no hand soap. Breakfast was plentiful but the same thing everyday. It was basically meat, cheese, bread and pastries. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and it was not good and expensive. 200dh each on the first night, a couple of kebabs with chips and salad. Overall a mediocre hotel but OK for what we needed.

This hotel is not a 4 star! It’s a cheap basic hotel I do a lot of travelling so will try to provide a balanced review. Positives: The location is fantastic so close to the square and it’s easily walkable to other attractions making it a perfect base. The pool also really makes the hotel worth the stay, although it’s not heated which didn’t stop a lot of people, it is s a little oasis away from the Marrakesh madness, never a problem getting sun beds either. The restaurant staff work hard and are friendly the guy who looks after the pool and provides towels was great too! The orange trees around the pool were lovely and the smell of orange blossom filled the air. Negatives: The hotel is tired looking and is in need of a face lift, but it was clean! Breakfast was very simple and if you’re staying a week it gets boring! The reception staff were rude could barely be bothered to acknowledge you and looked annoyed when they had to actually do some work which they didn’t seem to do a lot of. You can’t buy drinks or food by card at the hotel so have to always have cash. The bedrooms are clean and had everything you need, the beds were comfortable but the pillows were awful and had just big lumps of foam in them.
