We came for a 4 night vacation during Eid-al-Fitr, it was the cheapest 5 star hotel we found, but it certainly did not disappoint. We had a phenomenal experience staying in a twin bed room with a magnificent view of the beach and mountains in the distance. The staff are all brilliant and kind. Furthermore, the food was delicious in both room service, particularly, the Penne Arabiata as well as the included breakfast that had a huge buffet on offer with numerous cuisine. Although renovations were taking place, no disturbance to the experience was exhibited. Furthermore, the hands-on currency exchange was definitely convenient and seamless to get some Omani rial cash. Overall, we most certainly will return in the near future as the hotel gets its fresh new look. Definitely deserves a 5/5.

Excellent value for money, well located, very affordable hotel with good food. Full breakfast selection with lots of choice and eggs we cooked as you like them. Excellent value for money, well located, very affordable hotel with good food. Full breakfast selection with lots of choice and eggs we cooked as you like them. Having things like fresh beetroot juice is a nice touch. Superb evening meal and fast, attentive service. As an example, even the gentleman who delivered some room service, called Senthil, was fast, polite and yet took the time to explain everything I had ordered and returned to collect empty’s promptly, all with a warm smile. You feel very welcome here. For a business trip, can’t ask for more, it may not have the latest interiors and marble floors, but with good service, comfortable rooms and quiet aircon, no point wasting money elsewhere.

So my first time visiting Oman, hotel was booked for me so not much choice in the decision. Whilst it's down as a 5 star it's a little tired looking in places mostly the outside areas mind. Doesn't really distract from the fact the hotel is really quite comfortable. The staff are really friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel chain. Rooms were massive and clean, 8 bottles of water when I arrived, nice touch they all got drank on the first day and restocked daily. Restaurants are not too bad, Tuscany is good I would recommend the beef carpacchio, very good. Mokhan cafe well it does food, don't get excited for a decent coffee. Pool bar does banging beef satay and the bar staff down there were super helpful. Had issues on check out, my fault not the hotels forgot to activate a card but the young girl dealing with me was awesome. Loads of bars as part of the hotel, recommend the sports and safari bars. Set in a great location within easy walking distance of local restaurants etc if you fancy eating out. Beach literally within spitting distance. I'd definitely return if the opportunity arises. There was renovation work going on during my visit but you would never have thought it. Recommended if the price is right.

This is listed as a 5 Star hotel but to be honest, maybe it was ten to fifteen years ago. The hotel is very dated and it's not exactly 'beach-fronted' as advertised! The beach is public, not looked after, and completely separate from the hotel. I arrived off an overnight flight and the first thing the reception staff asked me was if I was a Hyatt member. I told him no, he asked did I want to sign up…no, what I want is my bed and something to eat. He told me that my booking didn’t include breakfast which it did! when I told him this he said he couldn’t see it on the system and that I would have to pay. I was also told that the breakfast didn’t start until the following day even though I arrived at the hotel at 8am! They made no effort to use discretion or be flexible to a new guest, considering I’d just come off an overnight flight and the hotel was dead! The room was clean and fine – no issues there. One thing I would say however, is that they have only one plug socket (for international plugs) which is all the way on the other side of the room. So you cannot plug any devices in, such as your phone or laptop, by the bedside. The concierge tried their best but were not very knowledgeable regarding tours and trips. I ended up finding a tour agent in a coffee shop! The breakfast setting was outside with no view of anything as there was tarpaulin everywhere and the dining area was dated. The food very average. I was overall a bit disappointed with this hotel but the waiters, room service, and housekeeping were very good and the concierge tried their best. The reception staff made no effort to resolve thee breakfast situation with Expedia so I had to pay. I know that it was Ramadan and everyone is hungry and lethargic, but they needed to step up. If I ever go back I’ll stay at the Chedhi which is 5 mins away up the road and was amazing.
